I would say you were wrong to do such things, for dead saints in Heaven are very humble people with absolutely NO ability to ask God to do anything for you.

Race, it looks like someone already answered your question about Saints in heaven offering intercessions to God, thought you'd be interested in the follwowing scripture regarding "dead" saints.

23 The same day Sad'ducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him a question..........But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31 And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God, 32 'I AM the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not God of the dead, but of the living." 33 And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching." Matthew 22:23-33

And I answered that with what should have opened your eyes to something:

How do you know they are in Heaven?

And

Who are you TOLD to pray to in the Bible?

There is NOT ONE VERSE in the Bible that tells you to pray to a dead person

There are MANY that tell you to pray to God!

So, How do you KNOW that person you are praying to/through is even in Heaven?

Second, why in the world would you pray to a person when God Himself tells you to pray to Him?
