I do the same thing. I'm the only conservative in a SEA of liberals (academia). It's hell on earth.
It's very tough not commenting on their stupid views and trashing of conservatives. I go home and just want to rip someone's head off! They all have the same traits-arrogant, too smart for everyone, know it alls with all the answers and of course now we live in a sea of stupid Kerry Edwards bumper stickers on a bunch of BMW's! Serenity now!!!!

Greetings, fellow academic. I feel your pain. Try working not only w/academics, but with Scandinavian (the heart of socialism) academics. Hoo boy! I get regularly treated to 'Bush is cutting funding for research.' Bush, Bush, Bush. Then they look at me as if I've just declined their grant proposal. : )
