Anybody else watching the Senate on CSPAN 2? Reid just had his "Carl Rove' amendment to the Homeland Security funding bill read and spoke for about five minutes bashing Rove and Bush.
THEN, the clerk read an amendment proposed by Bill Frist that any office holder who discloses classified FBI information on the Senate floor and uses it to denigrate the U.S. military should have HIS security clearence removed. DURBIN alert!
Wow! Great stuff. Turn on CSPAN 2 immediately!
Hugh Hewitt should be good tonight and Ingram should have plenty of material tomorrow.
CTJ?
Dodd is the definition of disingenuous. Whenever someone talks about "divisive" they soon follow it up with a request for someone to step aside, and he did it!
The funny part is that Valerie Plame would lose her clearance if this bill passes. She revealed that she was covert CIA to Joe Wilson on their third date, according to his book.
"It's fun to watch Democrats as they feign their patriotism. As if Democrats ever cared about keeping identities of CIA agents secret. Great response by Frist."
So true. Most liberals that I know despise the CIA as the root of all evil and would not hesitate for a moment have it dismantled.
I wipe my ass with Reid's ammendment.
norm coleman up
We most certainly do. My guess is that their polling data for the off-year election looks absolutely abysmal.
They simply have to do something. They have to do it now. And they know they can count on the fanatics in the media to keep the idiot liberals in a complete lather.
If the amendment was passed the DIMS would forever say that ROVE broke the LAW and the MSM would REPORT it as such,
They have NO SHAME and their constituents have no brains.
That used to be unconstitutional but so was seizing property for private use.
Norm finally woke up.. I wish we had this fire 5 years ago.
Yes.
Oh, thanks. Norm Coleman up and dealing now. Calls the Reid amendment "political propaganda!"
That's right. Listening to Norm Coleman now that the executive order is good enough, then the Senate should move to strip Leahy and Kennedy of their right to see classified info now and watch the democrats howl. The GOP is doing the wrong thing here fighting the principal of the bill. Let's out-do the dems here and counterattack. Support the bill, or start using the existing law against kerry and leahy.
Coleman: This amendment is a poorly crafted piece of political propaganda.
NICE!
He is from my state. Seems like he is doing a good job. Norm seems to be doing all right, too.
Hee hee hee, this tag-teaming with Sessions is KILLING this bill.
I LOVE Jeff Sessions' accent! It's slightly more lilting than a Texas accent.
I liked Colemans comment about democrats crafting legislation based on what they read in Newsweek.
