Mountain Brook High School graduate Natalee Holloway went missing May 30 during a senior trip to Aruba. AP photo
Yes, I agree, the reporter could have added *the following night*, to the statement. Thanks again for all you do here on this thread, TexKat.
Prayers for Natalee and her family.
Sorry. I think my long link screwed up the margins. I still can't figure out how to post a picture. I am HTML challenged.
Are those straps hanging down on the piece of fabric? Unfortunately I didn't watch in on TV. Darn.
I am too, HoHoe!! :)
LOL. Glad I am not the only one.
The screen shots of the piece of fabric look like jersey (stretchy like a T shirt). Her top that she was wearing looks like it was made from scarves, i.e. woven fabric like a man's dress shirt. But I don't know any of that for sure; that is just my impression of the photos on here. But the color looks pretty close!
no... they are shreds of material. It was hard to capture with my camera from a freeze frame of it on my TV. It is solid green in color and it looks like it is at least
12" x 12" in size. The color is close to the green on her shirt from the picture but as if the sun has bleached it out, but no white stripes. If it had any white on it like wide white stripes then I would wonder if it was hers, but they showed it for quite sometime on the video and there is no white on it.
I don't think it is from her shirt.
What I saw looked like the center triangular part of her top, bluish green spots with white background...SW good eye..

Well second time around,10:32 PST Geraldo was talking to Tito Lecle of Aruba today...he described it as blonde, bleached or tinted (not real blonde hair) redish (not red)making it seem more plausible it could be Natalee's hair..
Is her skirt not blue denim?
Not sure what you are asking when it comes to the skirt - The guy was handling a seafoam / aquamarine colored piece of cloth. Close but lighter than the green in her halter top (which could be seafoam/aquamarine green by now from being exposed to the sun). I hand dye fabric and I work with a lot of batik (which is hand dyed) and her halter top is made from a batik scarf or batik sarong. They used wax in the white areas of her top to resist the dye in those areas, then they boil the wax off after they dye the fabric and the waxed areas of the material stay white, but the non waxed areas will dye to the color of dye they are using.
Her skirt is demin blue, but what the guy had was not blue.
It was clearly green more of a seafoam green / aquamarine green. Like color number 7140 (Aqua Marine) off this dye chart.

Her top was more like 425 (Marine) from the chart above - but the sun would fade it out to look like 7140. But what he had was solid in color, it had no white on it at all. I watch the video over and over (slow motion) and I do not think it is from her halter top and the color is not right for it to be her Blue Jean skirt.
I am going to bed and will catch up again tomorrow.
ok... I see it is 2 shades of green (one has more blue in it) in the striped area. The color on the fabric that the man was carrying was solid in color. If it was from her halter top then both colors would also fade but to 2 lighter and different shades of green/blue green and the fabric would not appear "solid" in color.
You know I hope it is hers so that they are finally moving forward with this case, but I am 90% sure that what saw on TV over and over again in which the man was holding did not come from her halter top.
So this is my opinion on it...
Evidence of drugs in hair requires the extrusion of hair from the day the drugs were taken (and then some).
Oh, Thank You! (Saying 'Duh' to myself.) Grown hair being a 'finished product', so to speak and that recent introduction of a drug to a person's system would show up only in new hair growth. (and the hair bulb, I would presume.)
Oh my gosh I never thought of that tattered piece of greenish-blue something could have been her clothes. And maybe Joran now knows they found this and that's why he hit the hood or maybe he is starting to crack!
Natalee doesn't have the same hair color as Beth. Beth's hair looks natural (maybe) Natalee's hair looked bleached.
