We keep getting conflicting stories on when Natalee first met Juran.

Just a "lurking" thought.. could the Aruban Authorities have "planted" the hair and tape.. in order to get Joran to talk under pressure.. if the Kalpoe's said something about tape or hair.. the Authorities could use this as a springboard to squeeze him... of course.. that is taking into consideration that the Authorities are actually doing something more than parading Joran out to the beach... OK.. just pass this over.. I am going back to the lurking field... great job with this TexKat..thanks!

in the USA cps are allowed to lie to suspects.it may be a possibility..but if the bros knew enough to describe hair and duct tape, why aren't they behind bars?

It could be the reporter. However you noticed how the reporter added the words " the following night".

McVay, who was interrogated by the FBI, said the group of girls with Holloway told van der Sloot they would be at Carlos 'N Charlie's the following night.

It might have been two separate incidents - what I thought I saw was Joran open the car door then close it then start to walk away then open the car door again - I thought he was using the car door thing to slam the car door the first time...in any case, he must have been mad about something.

Lizarde you were correct, I just saw Joran open and close the ALE car door twice on Geraldo.

I just saw Joran slapping the hood of the car and shaking his head as if he was talking to himself. I bet this second trip to the beach where he had to tell police again what happened did not match up with the story he gave during his first trip to the beach and his little tantrum is because he knows he screwed up his story ONCE again and he may have been called on it right there on the beach before he walked back to the car.

it looks to me like the door did not close all the way the first time he tried to close it and reopened it and closed it with more force the second time to make sure it did close correctly. Most people would just push on the door so that it "snaps" closed. It looks like he felt the edge of the door to make sure it was flush with the other door. (will rewatch it later)

I found it interesting that he looked like he was talking to himself in disgust after he slapped his hands on the hood of the car.

I don't know if this is true, but from SM earlier it was posted that they took him to the Boca Prins thought to be a temporary grave yesterday as well as another location.

Did you notice the searcher that was up in the rocky area searching had a tattered piece of blue greenish colored cloth in his hand, the camera focused on it for a moment. It (the tattered piece of cloth) looked like it may have come from the top that Natalee was wearing when she was last seen.

Its catching up to him. If you rewatch Geraldo, be sure and check out the piece of cloth in the searchers hand, he looked like he was looking for more.

I just watched it again...

After he slaps both hand on the hood, he walks over and opens the front passenger door. He stop as if someone said something to him (Joran sways his hands towards the front seat as if he is saying "I just want to get into the car" and then you see 1 LE walk up to the car with Joran looking at him), so Joran closes the front passenger door which does not close all the way (you can see it not closed all the way), so he reopens it and shoves it harder so that closes all the way so that it does close correctly. He is later seen standing outside the car with several LE and then one LE opens up the back passenger side door and sways his hands for Joran to get into the back seat.

Actually the husband suggested it during Geraldo... while it could be a great ploy.. the real question is if the Authorities are actually smart enough to use such an event... by the way... I am really learning to think from all of you... while I have to work all day.. late evenings you all provide me with the latest news and commentary ... I am SOOO impressed with all of the real thinking.. just get a little irked at the minutia.. I am a hug fan of TexCat...

Just curious. Is the place where the tape and hair found a place that had been combed over before? Was the cloth that people are talking about found in the same location? Were dogs used in this place? I certainly hope the Equusearch team breaks this open.

My understanding: The site where the tape and hair was found had been searched.. it is close to where the Equa guys found that "former grave site".. but, the hurricane has been kicking up the water.. so it could have just surfaced... I don't know about the cloth.. one of the talking heads on Fox tonight suggested that her clothing could be intact... so it would not be out of the question to find pieces of clothing after the storm...

Pix of a cave at Boca Tortuga. Lots of hiding places there it seems. Can anyone come up with a legitimate reason long blonde hairs would be on duck tape? I don't know why scuba divers would use it, but then again I don't scuba dive. If it's Natalee's hair, it would indicate that she was alive at that point and needed to be kept quiet. I just don't see how this can turn out good for the family.
