Sounds like either he has a conscience or he wants to pass the buck. (A la Scott Peterson, "It wasn't me but I know who did.") Wonder what his Dad means by "after the case is closed." After his son gets off scot free, or does he know his son will be convicted?
it just MAY be that the DEA agent is who engaged the polis after the aeeival of Beth, etc....she just said on Geraldo that the DEA Agent was witness to MUCH if not all of the goings-on and statements of van der sloot sr and jr during all of the goings-on that night....and I THOUGHT she said that the polis would not accept a statement from the DEA agent (Beth just learned this last evening, after having believed all this time that polis had the statement of the DEA agent as part of the case).
damn damn damn them!!!!! I would dare to hope that the DEA agent committed his observations tp text and/or audio and submitted it to the DEA and/or FBI, since the arubans stymied his effort.
(now I spose we will need a transcript of Geraldo's show if there is one available)
To top off the outrageousness, PVDS and his spawn talked in Papiemento or Dutch and Beth and party could not understand them. The DEA guy could. So he had valuable info to give. But LE didn't want it.
Nite all.
Thanks for your work on it......I can't remember who it was that called Beth when they were near memphis on the trip home from Arkansas......was it the chaperone that stayed behind in aruba, or did someone else make that call? I think she intended to meet the nus with the kids at the drop-off point after their bus-trip from the airport (was it atlanta airport?)
"Joran {{{wants}}} to talk to Natalee's dad"
"either he has a conscience or he wants to pass the buck"
My comment is, it is Dave Holloway who WANTS to talk to Joran. He tried to visit him in jail. He wants to look Joran in the eyes and see if Joran can look back and say straight out that he is innocent. Joran's mother claims that Joran is willing to see Dave now, but Joran's father says, nope, he will talk to you after the case is closed.
All of the pressure for them to talk is coming from Dave. Joran is not sitting around in jail thinking, oh, man, I want to talk to Natalee's dad. No way.
I keep one more thing in mind: the van der Sloots are a pack of liars. Whatever they SAY, I take it with a grain of salt.
meet the nus
Bus
Well is Dad in charge?
So why would they say it?
That I'm aware of :) He also happens to be the most intriguing character in this entire cast. If he is who you suspect, then his appearance with Greta would have had to have been a calculated move. (As much as I like her coverage, we can rule out her enticing charm as the reason he agreed to an interview.)
Maybe that answers the question I just asked...this is why he agreed to go On the Record with Greta.
I wonder why they took Joran back to the beach?
Beth looked better tonight on Geraldo. A little tired, but still very, very determined.
God bless her--I love that woman!
Excellent description of CC~! ;)
I've wondered the exact same thing.....so amny generations of Jossy's family going back in aruba that it may well lead back to Indo-Paki origin.
well if the cellphone guy IS the DEA agent in question, he was probably withdrawn from aruba shortly after doing Greta's show.....I haven't seen or heard of him since the interview, has anyone else?
"" All of the pressure for them to talk is coming from Dave. Joran is not sitting around in jail thinking, oh, man, I want to talk to Natalee's dad. No way. I keep one more thing in mind: the van der Sloots are a pack of liars. Whatever they SAY, I take it with a grain of salt.""
I don't think Juran wants to talk with Dave Halloway, either. He said horrible things about Natalee, while possibly knowing she would never to able to defend herself. Like you, I have a hard time believing anything the VDS's say. Early on, I thought the Mom was maybe naive, but not anymore. She knows how things work in Aruba, imo.
Will do Yaelle.
"She knows how things work in Aruba"
She knows her mate and her son, too. Her biggest fear is that the world will also know them, and therefore her, too. 'Behind closed doors' sometimes comes to light......
