Oh I agree...in fact ever since the first Congressman (whose name I can't remember) said that there was good reason for the FBI to be involved it has been in the back of my mind that there is some aspect to this case that we don't have our arms around.

I don't know... I heard an interview when the boys were in jaol, she was bashing Natalee pretty good. She was all like "She didn't even talk too my boys" like she was too good to talk to "people of color. Then she said that "she and Urine were making love in the back seat, kissing you know, it was making Satish very uncomfortable you know, he wanted to tell them they should get a room somewhere you know."

I think she has an ugly attitude, and has herself a couple of wild boys that, apparently, she doesn't see the wild side of. Or she does but the only thing she cares about is that they don't go to jail. Which is understandable. It's not exactly honorable (as the Marc Antony character in Empire said the other night) but what else is she going to do?

I must say that if I were van der sloots defense attorney I'd be reading all these wild theories (some of which I pointed out in #1179 above) on these websites that might establish reasonable doubt......and then pull a Johnny Cochran-type summation using every one of them.....sometimes it works.

From the looks of things the VDS don't need any wild theories they have enough of their own and it appears that they are using them effectively so far. When will Joran ever be charged?

I think that people who bring forth these theories are just trying to find a solution or an answer like you and I and the rest of us are, dont you think?

Yes, and he reportedly owns 1/3 to 1/2 of the island and the bank. Some reports claim he is head of the mafia on the island, and his bank launders the drug monies coming out of Columbia, Venezuela, and other S.A. countries.

Not unless or until there is sufficient evidence against him and/or the real perps. Given that the polis were loathe to investigate from the git due to nepotism or incest amongst the criminal/legal/business/political tentacles and elements in aruba, it might not be possible by the time the clock ticks out.

Q #2.....agreed....but clever ringers seed stuff regularly with such subtle smoothness......just look at stock ratings, CNBC, recent meltdown, for examples.

Someone above mentioned Sen Shelby's reference to the FBI......you can be sure that the following is only a small part of his concern along those lines.....and also that they already know some of the players involved in what appears to be a deliberate 7-P (or its opposite) investigation.......

Your post has much validity. They were far out of their element. The ultimate failure was not taking care of one of their own.

Real friend's look-out for one another and if it becomes physical to prevent harm to a friend, then so be it.

The perps are the real killers here and must be held accountable for their actions. We may never see the justice which is deserved in this crime. Aruba is a can rotten worms which was opened when Natalee disappeared. The effluvia has opened the eyes and noses of many people to the true nature of Aruba.

I equate this to the parenting in many American families today. I believe they have forgotten to prepare (train) their children to be vigilant for the evil in the world, but hope that goodness will prevail.

Time to abscond in the Mothership on a trip to Arubianous on the flip flop listening to some mellow sounds, sippin on a soda pop doing the soda cracker inter-galactic bop. NSNR

The guy who is supposed to "examine" this bone is on vacation!! Dr. Baden was floored. He said ANY physician by Xray and viewing could determine if it was animal or human.

This is such a bogus excuse...are they honestly saying there is no doctor, not even a vet, not even an X-ray technician who could X-ray a bone in the meantime until the "official" guy comes back from vacation?! Now I'm feeling "outraged," CO! Can someone just take a look at the X-ray machine manual? For Pete's sake, take it to an emergency room! Have someone take an X-ray, email it to Dr. Henry Lee or, if he is still alive, Dr. Nagouchi....I guarantee either one would be at least be willing to give a preliminary judgment! Oh, these Aruban authorities...they are so funny....NOT!

"I did read of the rescue of the abducted sisters. That happened May 21. It was posted on a military web site, not on a Aruba news source. True, they were not tourists so the original circumstances are not the same.

"However, this makes three young women abducted in the same month! It is thought Natalee may have been smuggled into to Venezuela by a trafficking ring -- for the same reason that the sisters were abducted."

LOL...my favorite movie and I have the posters to prove it! I thought of that same scene when it sounded like the '96 murder was so quickly and effortlessly solved. Wonder if there is any way to find out...any archives/caches anywhere....

The chief purveyors of tobacco through Colombia's "backdoor ports" were two powerful Aruba families by the names of Mansur and Harms.

For more than 50 years, Philip Morris's main distributor in Latin America was the Mansur Free Zone Trading Co. NV. (The company's name changed to Glossco in 1999 after years of unwelcome scrutiny. U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1996 publicly identified Aruba "as a major drug-transit country" and noted: "A substantial portion of the free zone's businesses in Aruba are owned and operated by members of the Mansur family, who have been indicted in the United States on charges of conspiracy to launder trafficking proceeds.")

British American Tobacco, in the meantime, used the services of Roy Harms's Romar Free Zone Trading Co. NV as its distributor for parts of Latin America, and RJ Reynolds worked with cousin Bryan Harms, who figured in the Canadian smuggling in the early 1990s.

In August 1994, the United States indicted cousins Eric and Alex Mansur along with 52 others allegedly involved in a massive drug-money laundering enterprise. The investigation, dubbed Operation Golden Trash, targeted an alleged conspiracy that used narco dollars to purchase cigarettes, alcohol and household electronics, which were sold to individuals and businesses in Colombia. The proceeds flowed to cocaine barons.

The Minister of Justice, Eddy Croes, announced this week that the Lotto Pa Deporte Diario petition hasn't appeared on his desk and that according to Aruban law only one lottery benefiting sports is possible and it is already in existence under the direction of Ipi Kock, nevertheless the Lotto Pa Deporte Diario already has two outlets operating, one of them at Hooters, with a large attractive, jackpot luring locals to play. Johnny Cochran and Bob Washington, who doesn't practice law anymore, are setting up similar lottery operations on a number of
islands in the Caribbean.
