Gregory is trying to sound like he wasn't belligerant last night with McClellan! Idiot.

Here I thought the root of the scandal was when the White House exposed a NOC just to play hard ball with her husband.

Disgusting. Treason.

Gregory just showed everyone how much of a jerk he actually is. Trying to emulate Helen Thomas or something....

"President Bush said Wednesday that he will reserve judgment on Karl Rove’s possible involvement in the leaking of a CIA agent's identity until the special prosecutor’s criminal investigation into the matter is complete."

"This is a serious investigation," Bush said at the end of a meeting with his Cabinet, with Rove, his deputy chief of staff, sitting just behind him.
"I will be more than happy to comment on this matter once this investigation is completed,” Bush said.

Amazingly, President Bush's comments do not jibe with Gregory's characterization.( sarcasm off )

Who is telling the truth?

Mr. Wilson wasn't a whistleblower but was a partisan trying to discredit the Iraq War in an election campaign. Wilson lied about who recommended him for the mission. He stated several times to the press that it was the VP when in fact it was his wife.

All Karl Rove did was set the record straight and expose Mr. Wilson for the liar that he is.  On the "no underlying crime" point, moreover, no less than the New York Times and Washington Post now agree. So do the 36 major news organizations that filed a legal brief in March aimed at keeping Mr. Cooper and the New York Times's Judith Miller out of jail. ...

Why is it that Miller refuses to testify to who her “unnamed” source is. In fact someone reported that whoever the source is, he or she has consented to the disclosure? On the other hand,  perhaps there is no such person? It wouldn't be the first time that a reporter with a liberal agenda made up a story. Have we forgotten Dan Rather already?

This notion that the press can only be “free” if they can quote anonymous sources is a sham and cover for operatives who propagandize with the purpose of influencing public opinion.  What they really want is the freedom to lie.

Gregory is showing how the liberal media is frantic to pin something on the Bush Administration. Nowhere has it been proven where Rove did anything wrong. These reporters need to get a life, and start reporting some real news, before Fox News buries them all.

Is this a "news" story or an editorial? Heck, is there even a difference between the two anymore?

I'm sure he's VERY eager to find out what the Feds have to say. I can't wait. This is going to be HUGE! The DUmmies will All commit mass suicide over this one! Watergate will be considered boring.

Is the Iraq war the cause of this attack?

A liberal sent this to me and it could be the real cause:

"This is the man [Rove] who turned the "Dean Scream" into a campaign-killing character assassination."

Really what this is about is the case for going into Iraq. The issue is really the debates about the war, the evidence that was used to go to war, and the claims that were made by this administration that proved to be false.

Dem's can't realize that those issues were resolved by Bush's re-election. But since they have no valid issues or reasonable ideas to put forward, this junk continues.

What should matter is what gets passed on the hill and why. With the yearly deficit narrowing, this fall is a good time to make the income tax cuts permanent.
