"Lebanese Politician Killed in Bomb Blast"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BEIRUT, Lebanon — A powerful explosion hit the motorcade of Lebanon's (search) outgoing deputy prime minister Tuesday, wounding him and causing other casualties in the latest in a string of bombings targeting politicians and other figures, police said.
Elias Murr (search), an ally of Syria (search) who is also the outgoing defense minister, was slightly wounded in the blast, said one police officer at the scene. The officer would not give details on the other casualties, and police threw a cordon over the area, keeping bystanders and journalists away."
