The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Threat Matrix - Daily Terrorism Threat
Threat Matrix: U.S. Terrorism
Terrorists could be just getting started
Full Story

New York City and Washington. Bali, Indonesia; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Istanbul, Turkey; Madrid, Spain. And now London.

When will it end? Where will it all lead?

The experts aren't encouraged. One terrorism researcher sees the prospect of "endless" war. Adds the man who tracked Osama bin Laden for the CIA, "I don't think it's even started yet."

Think they might want to take advantage of the situation while they have it?

Isn't it interesting to note that the bombings by MUSLIM terrorists aren't considered "religious hatred"?

Killing "infidels" or "kuffars" wherever they may be IS their ultimate goal. Any demands they have made to date are bogus. Despite what we may do in an attempt to satiate their demands, we cannot change who and what we are. Any non-Muslim country falls under the same dire consequences lest they change their religious ways to conform to the Islamic way of life.

Thanks, Oorang.

What strikes me about those photos is that most, if not all, show men who are not ready to battle for their god. They look more like egotistical little jerks who found an outlet for their frustration through weaponry.

Pathetic. The real sad part is, they're going to take innocent people with them in their quest for something they're never going to find - true healing for the savage wound that their religion and culture ripped open in them.

No. I think both are content to continue to fight a proxy war against US interests for as long as possible.

The operative phrase, here, is "as long as possible". The coming party could easily get out of hand. It's hard to say how America will react to 4-8 nukes going off around CONUS in short order. I think they'll wait out the BDA and see what gives.

I do think that Iran is poised to launch on Israel at the first opportunity, as is China to take Taiwan, and DPRNK is just itching to launch on Japan and maybe the US west coast simultaneously. China and India will launch on Pak. Again, operative phrasing is "first opportunity" [read: when the US is least able to react].

There are 50-100K ARMED and TRAINED bad guys waiting in B-H for the go signal, with a similar number already in CONUS and Central America. All the major European capitals have developed huge Muslim populations over the past 15 years, as has the US. In addition, the #1 AQ base in the western hemisphere is in the 3 borders area of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. Did you know that the largest group of illegals entering the US are not Mexican, or even Central American... they from... Brazil.

So, if I were a bad guy, I'd arrange for all my counter-proxies to take the heat off me that would ultimately result from my operation, by providing them with the opportunity to launch some ops of their own, by putting the US on the ropes.

You see, every one needs for the US military to be stretched thin, and for a combined 'opportunity' to occur that will be sufficient to require America to blink, to be incapable of responding for a time. I believe that in that instant, while we're down, their will be an unprecedented opportunity for a worldwide geopolitical readjustment to occur.

Subsequently, the remaining Muslims will continue their jihad against the West, both here and in Europe. Fighting in the streets. Every town in the US and Europe will be facing the same fighting that we've seen in Baghdad for two years. Beginning to see why Bush didn't re-enact the auto weapons ban??

With Pak gone, so goes the Islamic threat and force in the Eastern Middle East. It will be up to the Central Arab countries to keep the fight going, and they will only be able to attack Africa, Europe and America. The Muslims in SE Asia are still too disorganized as operational forces to be much of a threat, although I believe that SEA is where a lot of the worldwide operational planning likely occurs, along with Pak, Iran, Brazil.

Eventually, the Sino-Soviet forces (read your Bible, here) will descend for a mopping up operation, getting rid of both the Muslims and the Westerners together.

If it plays out like this, should be quite a show. The US and European allies will be forced to fight an asymmetric war on our own soil, with most of our armed forces committed overseas. The only flaw I see is that which both Churchhill and Stalin each said in their own way of Hitler's undoing... "He underestimates what the American's are willing to do in order to win, once they have been forced by common circumstances to come together for a purpose." Our ace in the whole. We'll eventually unite, but it will cost us a lot to get to that point... The price of being a 'democracy' I guess.

Well, I'm not sure what "match dot bomb" is, but, it sounds like it fits these jihadi wackos.

FBI gets local police in the loop - good article MamaD. Of course they need to take Portland,OR off that list. They don't want to work with the nasty old FBI.
