Today President Bush attended the last day of the G-8 Meeting and Arrived back at Andrews Air Forse Base in Maryland and immediately went to the British Embassy in Washington D.C. to sign the guest book and offer condolences to the victims of terrorist attacks on London yesterday. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of sympathy and support by the American people, and he thanks President Bush for the gesture
Wonderful pictures...thanks for posting!!!
Great Dose, Mike. Thanks!
Prayers up for Snugs and her Dad.
You doing OK? Your family is well? Your son??
Thanks for adding my folks to the prayer list.
Prayers on the way for Snugs and her father. May everything turn out well.
"Howdy friend"
Howdy Mike........as we might say in Philadelphia the great bastion of liberalism, far left, and outright socialist.
Maybe I should put in a prayer request for Marine_Uncle to win a ten billion dollar lottery, so that he can move out of this less then desirable place to live. Heh heh heh. I took the liberty of assembling those Freeper names with loved ones and friends that are amoung the Marines listed, and sent them a personal note as to where if they feel the need can sign up at a Marine Parent web site. It is a great place to share, and exchange information of a non SECOPS nature. Perhaps I shall see some of them in the future at that site.
Hope your visits to our WIA may continue with only good results. I have often wondered how nice it could be if arrangements could be made for lets say middle school or high school students to visit WR and other hospitals that are helping our injured recover. Let them interact with these folks. Let them hear the stories, let them hear why these men and women choice to enlist, and defend this land.
Let them hear what they don't hear in the L/MSM and elsewhere. Then write reports to share with their classmates on the character of these people they meet. Of course pipe dreams of this kind are beyond the limites of our school systems. Even it was done on a voluntary basis. Must remain PC. Deft, dumb, and blind is the new order.
Lord have mercy on this land.
Kayak says she'll be back late Sunday, so will be taking over again on Monday.
I'm counting the days.....2!
Oh, I love that winking photo! How cute! :)
Also, it looks as though the British police are fans of GWB! They look pleased to get their picture taken with him.
hello everybody !!! :D
i'm glad prez is home safe, now i'm just waiting for laura and the girls.
Thanks so much. Scott came home from NC tonight to attend the funeral of his 20 year old friend killed in a driving accident. I marvelled that the 19 year old BOY sent to basic training months ago has returned a MAN. He's a proud Marine who said he's prepared to die for his country. God be with all of them.
Thanks for those Pics of the VP
I don't think you appeared "crass or prying." I suspect Mike was just saying that Snugs is from Britain, but that her father has a serious angina problem which, as far as we know, is not related to the bombing yesterday. They do not live near London.
I haven't had a chance to read the rest of the posts yet, but yours needed answering as soon as I saw it. It might be tomorrow before I get to the end of the Dose.
LOVE the first photo, although it saddens me that the President will be without his First Lady for yet another week!
Also love the photos of our president with the British police/security forces . . . I bet he was one of only a few G-8 leaders to acknowledge/thank these hardworking 'blokes'!!!
Be sure to remind him of the words of Gen. Patton.
The job of the U.S. soldier is not to die for your country, but to make sure the enemy ba$tard dies for HIS country.
PRAYERS UP for snugs and her dear father . . . I'm confident that the good Lord will grant her the strength she needs during this difficult time!!
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I felt just awful, and then didn't know what exactly to say.
We are all doing well. Everyone's healthy, happy, sassy... :-)
Sean is now based in Fort Stewart, Georgia. I flew out to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, three weeks ago and together we drove his truck - with all of his worldly possessions in the back - to Georgia. Then he and I flew home together and he spent ten days leave here. We had a great time! He flew back to Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday. It's so hard having him clear across the country from us. :-/
How are you? Your family?
