US President George Bush is attending the G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Scotland, which unfortunately was disturbed today due to the terrorist attack in London. British PM Tony Blair left Gleneagles to return to London briefly to assess the situation though returned to the summit later in the evening.

The summit will continue tomorrow but it is expected to end probably a little earlier than originally intended to allow Tony Blair to return to London tomorrow afternoon

Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.

Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.

"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Washington she also met with the British Ambassador to the U.S. David Manning

He hates the US but doesn't mind having the freedom to be a total jerk that the sacrifice of soldiers has given him, or living in wealth and comfort because of the industriousness and ingenuity of the American people, or safety because of a Commander in Chief and a military force that are unparalleled in the world.

Next time, maybe someone should suggest that he spend a few months in the Sudan or in North Korea so he gets a little perspective on this country that he 'hates.'

My heart stirs with both gratitude and humbleness. I mean that. As I had responded on this post, in replies to my prayer request, a few others preceeding your response. I am a broken record if you have read some of my stuff over the past year or so.......... I just repeat it over and over because deep inside me I am totally convinced.
They serve with honor and total commitment.
We who are true believers shall pray them home whole in body, soul, and spirit, as they complete their tours of duty. May most of them that have served a few times in combat be spared the need to have to return once again if they wish it not. But it sure seems like most are ready to return yet again as their nation calls on them to do so.
What solid, and committed people they are. They willingly return so that their brothers and sisters in arms may get a rest. I have a first cousin whos son was injured while at Balad Iraq a year and a half ago, now fully recovered, say he is ready to go back this September. He told his mom. Well time for some to come home for a break.
This comaradery, commitment, total focus on their mission is not a mistake or mirage. This is the quality of our armed services. They truly are our best! My nephew volunteered last year for his first tour to the pit. This time he went back saying he doesn't mind. It has to be done. He is now in the remote far northwest Al Anbar region. Truly under spartan conditions. They have little there. It is in no man land. 16 hour plus days, often required, some on patrols for five days at a shot in the remote deserts traveling dangerous roads to the local towns, abandoned mines, etc., to attempt to keep to a mininmum the amount of Ali Babba trying to come down from Syria. Not the most pleasant job in the world. They do some of the most dangerouse work of any Americans, and get the lowest pay. And each day they
put on their boots and serve yet again. They truly deserve our heart felt prayers.

And I know that George W. Bush is a real man, a gentleman, a dedicated Christian, a loving son, husband and father, a strong leader, a man of integrity and more than you could ever dream of being.

You can sit in your little igloo and take pot shots at him all you'd like, but it doesn't make you a man.

I counter protested the Iranians in D.C. back in 1980 when they held a demonstration in Lafayette Park across from the White House, There was at 800 of them and about 40 of us, I had one of them reach over a Policeman and shove his protest sign towards me, I snatched it from him when the cop turned around to stop him and beat him with the 6 foot long 1x3 board his sign was stapled to. I was arrested along with the Iranian, We were taken to the Police station and when I was awaiting a hearing with the Magistrate, a TV was showing the DC Police beating the Iranian protesters with their billy clubs and tear gassing them :-), The Iranian locked up with me was very upset when I said to him that I should have left him alone so he could been among the Billy Clubbed!! :-)

Exactly, it's not worth jeopardizing his future for a low life. It's really hard to swallow their guff, but, then I try to remember that these people are ignorant of the truth. I really wish I could calmly debate these people but, when it comes to our great country, I get too intense and emotional AND I WANT TO SMACK THEM UPSIDE THEIR HEADS! See what I mean......lol.
