They obviously fear this isn't over.
What a melancholy photo.
Did a photo ever portray so well the "weight of the world" on one's shoulders?
I am here in Brazil and CNN international is the only cable news I am getting.
Christine Amanpour is talking about "Cool Britania" and how those from London are calm people (as opposed to those frantic Americans)
She also road her bike to one of the scenes because transportation is no operating today.(how environmental of her)
I am sure she wishes her husband, Jaime Rubin was still at the State Department so he could save the day by getting the French on board to help fight terror.
What time did the first plane hit the first tower?
True.
London is virtually blanketed in public surveillance cameras. I believe we'll learn a *lot* in the next couple of days.
Here's a delightful web site all about Larry Silverstein:

Of course, as the morning goes on all our pols will get their mugs in front of the camera. Peter Jennings will ask "Where is President Bush?"
I am anxiously awaiting to hear statements from the usual suspects. I want to know how long it will be and who it will be that says this (and it WILL be said):
"Bush invaded Iraq, turning it into a quaigmire. We cannot even find bin laden. He took valuable, needed resources from the Real War on Terror to invade a country which posed no threat. These deaths are on his hands."
Mind you...those are NOT my sentiments, but what I imagine will come from the left after talking points are written.
Bump.
Oh, I wouldn't put it past the bastards.

Oh yes, back to the "pull your troops or suffer our vengeful attacks." That's AQ.
I'm just getting into this thread, and haven't read all the way through it.
I heard on TV that the coordinated attacks happened around 8:48 London time. Isn't that about the same time of morning the first plane hit the WTC?
Also noticed Fox is having much better coverage of the news than CNN (CNN usually has better international coverage, IMHO.)
Anybody know why Fox can connect with their affiliates and CNN is having trouble doing so?
Well it worked with Spain.

Al-Qaeda behind London blasts, say Arab sources - BBC
07.07.2005, 08:16 AM
LONDON (AFX) - Arab sources have told the BBC that the multiple attacks on London's transport system today were the work of the al-Qaeda terrorist network, the radio and TV station said.
It said security correspondent Frank Gardener, who is usually well informed, had been given the information by 'Arab sources.'
A number of British security and anti-terror experts have also spoken of a 'co-ordinated attack' that bore the hallmark of terrorism.
