My nephew, his wife and daughter left the Bay Area for London and Europe on Monday. I don't have their itinerary but they were to be over there for two weeks. I hope he calls home soon.

As a very wise man once said, in order to stop terrorism fully, we have to be lucky every single time, and catch them every single time. In order for them to succeed, they only have to get lucky once. They got lucky once. And even the best and most prepared authorities are not going to know everything, particularly in the face of an enemy that is constantly updating and changing its modus operandi.
Blair is not to blame. I would only blame him if he showed a lack of resolve in the face of this. He hasn't.

What's getting the biggest laugh is that these morons might actually think that a city that went thru the Blitz and the IRA campaign will EVER be defeated by a bunch of goat farmers. Exactly. And we Americans stand with you, our British friends. We don't forget who our strongest supporter was after 9/11 and we never will.
I'm headed your way next month and this event has not dimmed my enthusiasm whatsoever. I am not in the habit of allowing terrorists to strike fear into me and I know the British aren't either.

Hope anyone on here that has family and friends on that underground hears that they are ok.
This has left me so sick to my stomach, I have lots of friends who take that route to work.
