The Schiavo Autopsy Results: Terri Dailies July 6
Accuracy in Media-Media Monitor ^ | July 6, 2005 | Cliff Kincaid

Several bloggers have drawn attention to a strange lead in a Washington Post story about the Terri Schiavo autopsy results. The June 16 Post story by David Brown said that "Terri Schiavo died of the effects of a profound and prolonged lack of oxygen to her brain on a day in 1990, but what caused that event isn't known and may never be, the physician who performed her autopsy said…"

Terri Schiavo Before dehydration

God Bless you Terri. May justice one day be served for you.

Let everyone who said your beautiful smile was fake be haunted by it for the rest of their days.

What's wrong with the Empire Journal? If you don't like what they print, don't read it. Instead, get all your news from ABCNBCCBSCNN, The Los Angeles Times, etc. The court rulings are a joke and we all know it. See, it would help you to understand our position on Terri if you would have JUST READ ALL THE DAMN MATERIAL. These jackasses are all in bed together, and honey that's the way things are done. Find me a city or town that is above corruption, and I'd probably faint.

Credulous? I've been called a lot of things, but credulous is a new one. It is common knowledge that Judge George Greer is legally blind. You can suffer impairment and still serve as a judge, so I figure that Terri could still see well enough to identify an unfamiliar face. Why am I credulous for stating that? Nevermind, my statement doesn't fit your agenda.

The government has the power to track down every nickle and dime that you and I spend.

The difference is the poster I was responding to wants to know this information for their personal knowledge.

There are plenty of people in Florida who can handle this.

Why yes there are. Thank goodness they have the common sense God gave them.

Bush, who asked State Attorney Bernie McCabe to further investigate Schiavo's case after her autopsy last month, responded Thursday by saying he considers the state's involvement with the matter finished.

"Based on your conclusions, I will follow your recommendation that the inquiry by the state be closed," Bush said in a two-sentence response to McCabe. The governor is vacationing in Maine and couldn't be reached for further comment, said officials in his office.

Case closed. You can rest easy. The rule of law remained intact

In fact, many states are corrupt among which Florida and New York are among the top ten most corrupt. There is plenty of evidence showing corruption in the Florida court syutem and the feds must intervene as they did during the Wallace standoff during the civil rights era, during the election standoff in 2000 and when Lincoln intervened when certain southern states seceded.

Furthermore, the 14th Amendment's says (in part), "nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." If ever there was a case for protecting this innocent woman from state sanctioned death the Terri Schiavo case was it.

Such as antibiotics for a routine UTI, toothbrushing, those things that are held in the hands to prevent the hands from curling inward, and he stopped all oral hydration and nutrition after the malpractice award. Did you know she could swallow jello? If she had been given the rehabilitation, she could have learned to swallow, and maybe to talk. Here's some advice: when one of your troublemaking friends ping you to a post, take the time to learn before you jump in and flame everyone.

There was the comfort care that most of us would take for granted, but was denied to Terri. TV, flowers, visitors, open windows, trips in a wheelchair to get some sunshine, music, letters and cards. Btw, her wheelchair was broken. You'd think with all that cash, she could have had a working one. Why all the sensory deprivation? Because he loved her soooo much.

You wonder why some of us are so pissed off? This crap can happen to anyone, and unfortunately has happened numerous times.

If they want to force families to keep loved ones 'alive' that's their business. If they want to force loved ones to disconnect life support, again that's their business.

Now I understand you. If they want to force the families to keep slaves 'alive' that's their business. If they want to force families to kill the slaves, again that's their business. But do not misread the federal Constitution to forward your agenda nationwide. The power to do so is not in there, nor was it ever.

during the election standoff in 2000

As it dealt with a federal election they had every right to do so

and when Lincoln intervened when certain southern states seceded.

No debate solved by violence is ever truly solved. He had no right.

As for the 14th Amendment, please read up the thread. The 14th was not intended to incorporate the Bill of Rights until a liberal court deemed it so 30 years after its passage

This dehydration/starvation thing needs to be explained to patients by doctors long before they become ill so that they can make sure their Advance Directives will spell out exactly what they DO and DO NOT want. I would not want to go through that, even if I were in a coma.

I hope some people get what is coming to them down there!

Keep us posted.

Now I understand you.

Well considering your hyperbolic statement, it is apparent you don't. The 13th Amendment banned slavery. However the 14th Amendment did not mean the Bill of Rights applied to the states as well. At least not until 30 years after its passage

You know I have absolutely been as kind as I can. Every statement, at least most every statement, has been supplied with documentation of the intent of the Framers, understandings from scholars of the limits of the Constitution, and even the words of the Framers themselves. And what have I had as responses? One sentence inane statements, personal attacks, and now I'm called a fool.

If you have nothing to base your argument on beside what you 'feel', doctors that have been discredited, or clips from documents it is apparent you don't understand, don't bother responding

All I have presented is facts on the limitations of the federal, or general, government. But I keep forgetting. Facts don't matter

I agree. Either it should be used to reimburse Medicare, or it should be given back to whomever paid it. Michael does not deserve it.

I must of missed that part. Where did the Framers say to kill disabled people?

"AF" stands for Anti-Freepers. I guess there are a few sites floating around, but the most active one is clownposse.org. They have threads devoted to Saundra Duffy and Floriduh Voter, among others.

I am no fan of Lincoln, but if it was the prevailing attitude as you display, I have to rescind some of my comments about him.

Here's another one ....dude....they would have a field day pronouncing death on people with limited cognitive ability that they could call already "dead".

There must be thousands of them.

My mother worked in a state hospital for the retarded. There were hundreds of patients in that single hospital. I don't know the numbers, but if every state has at least one hospital like that, there must be tens of thousands of these people. Some of them are born so disabled that they are incapable of learning anything--my pet fish has a boundless intellect next to them. I know that the Felos' and Greers of this world would love to wipe them all out.

In the police report, it was listed that Schiavo had a number of drugs in the kitchen, prescribed by a psychiatrist. Interesting. The "innocent" man was having mental "issues".

That is untrue. The St. Pete Police Department report says, "Various bottles of prescription medication were present in the kitchen; however, only two were prescribed to Theresa."

There is no indication in the police report as to what medications--psychotropic or otherwise--were contained (in either the medications prescribed to Terri Schiavo, or in the other medications found), nor is there any indication in the police report as to the identity or medical practice speciality (such as "psychiatrist") of the person subscribing the medication, nor is there any specifics as to how many (total) prescription medications were found and to whom (or what) they were prescribed.

Like the Schiavos apparently did, I keep our active prescription medications (the ones my family is taking RIGHT NOW) in my kitchen, as they are so often best taken with food and on a daily schedule which coincides with our meals. A quick check on my kitchen cabinet shows me that, of the 5 prescription medications currently in play in my home, 2 of them are mine, 1 of them is my husband's, and 2 of them were prescribed for the dog (but all were filled at our corner Walgreens). While each medication has the prescribing doctor's name on the bottle (as well as the name of the person/critter for whom they are prescribed), none of them indicate the practice specialty of the prescribing physician--such as internist, cardiologist, or veterinarian.

Michael Schiavo discussed his consultation with a psychologist (AFTER Terri Schiavo's cardiac arrest, not before) during his 1993 deposition. Perhaps you have confused that deposition with the 2/25/90 police report?
