Several bloggers have drawn attention to a strange lead in a Washington Post story about the Terri Schiavo autopsy results. The June 16 Post story by David Brown said that "Terri Schiavo died of the effects of a profound and prolonged lack of oxygen to her brain on a day in 1990, but what caused that event isn't known and may never be, the physician who performed her autopsy said…"

He's chosen a "cause of death" which makes it easiest on him.
If McCabe is willing to ignore the part of the autopsy report that said there is no evidence of complications from an eating disorder, why didn't he ignore the part of the autopsy that said there was no evidence of strangulation?

Oh I know. I was just pointing out that the weight she lost at the particular time was not in a short time or any amount you'd expect a person with a eating disorder to do. I do not think she had any type of eating disorder - at all. MS knew she didn't have any eating disorder.
I believe Nutri System is a very good, sensible plan to lose weight. Not one anyone with any eating disorder of any kind would use.
I'm glad OJ is doing it, because McCabe is a lazy bum.
Without doing the legwork, McCabe has no right to rule out strangulation and chose bulimia as the cause of Terri's death.
As I learned during OJ's trial, investigations are supposed to focus on more than one suspect. Just because McCabe accepts Michael's testimony, doesn't prove someone else didn't strangle Terri.
McCabe's investigation was too narrow. McCabe should be canvassing the neighbors from 15 years ago. McCabe should find out who else had a key to the apartment. McCabe should be checking into motives for other people to kill Terri (work related, extra-marital affair related)
If Michael was having an extra-marital affair*, perhaps he gave a key to a girlfriend who also worked nights, so that they could "meet" in his apartment while Terri was at work during the day.
The girlfriend might have asked a male friend to get rid of Terri.
*Or two, or three girlfriends.
Did one of Michael's girlfriends have a key to Terri's apartment?

You are correct in theory, but I can't see that there is any possibility of another suspect in this case. Michael is it. The one and only. He told us so in the most dramatic fashion -- all that stuff-and-feathers about when he heard the THUD, he raced to her, cradled her, tried to revive her. He was there within SECONDS! There was no time for the one-armed man to escape unnoticed.
In the old, immensely popular Columbo series, Columbo always zeroed straight in on the killer and never considered anyone else. I keep thinking that's what law enforcement should have done with Michael -- go after him the way a rat terrier shakes a rat.
I believe at the beginning he felt remorse and had an impulse to confess.
He got over it easily enough :-)
