If he got murder 1, would this get him life in prison at least? How about solitary confinement, since he won't get death, which he deserves? It pains me to think this vile scum will probably be happier in prison where he'll have a bed and three meals a day. He'll get treated as well as the terrorists at Guantanamo!
Of course we all know, if the situation had been reversed the deceased would have been another James Byrd. But I dont see any dramatic media memorials on CNN or the other networks.
If life in prison, probably life in solitary. How would the general prison population in New York State deal with such a POS? My preference is the general population works him over good. Then again the Nation of Islam "brothers" might protect him.
Not to mention that in prision, he'll have lots of buds with similar outlooks to pal around with.
