Chuckie missed Rove's attorney's flat out denial last night? Chuckie missed that Rove signed a waiver (funny, so did Libby and probably a whole host of WH/Bush people) releasing reporters from any confidentiality agreement?
Is there any story these people aren't willing to keep bringing up again even though it's been debunked a zillion times already?
I am not watching any news shows today, thanks for the ping.
"So, Biden admitted that they want the SCOTUS to be the court that MAKES LAW!!!"
He's finally admitted something publically a lot of us have known for awhile about Dims, thought I wouldn't count on the MSM to pick this up - think many of them think the same thing.
BTW - Diane F just said on FNC that the Pres should appoint a 'mainstream conservative' and went on to say that it should be someone a majority of the American public can get behind. IMHO, since the majority of the American public are sick of the activist leftist judges, then the majority of the American people could/would get behind Edith Jones, Janice Rodgers Brown, Lettwig or a couple of others :-)
Bennet will take advantage of being the lone live political show tomorrow. He'll focus on the Supremes, I'll predict.
Yahoo. The more monthlies the shorter the Freepathon
Add on Stephy and Cokie as well, why are all the rats lining up behind Gonzales?
I heard him say this. At the risk of sounding stupid, who did?

Kennedy has spent two lifetimes in the Senate. He is getting his presidents confused, along with everything else.
Sandra Day O'Connor was nominated by Reagan, in 1981. She said she had finished 24 terms in her resignation comments. I guess a mere 24 years in DC does not mean much to Kennedy. And Bush I was the VP back then. Kennedy = confused.
Supreme Court justices aren't supposed to speak for the people, they're supposed to speak for the Constitution. That's the reason they're appointed, for life, rather than elected.
Perfectly stated. The dems want to keep the momentum away from that principle. We want to take it back.
Er, the troops are paid whether they're here or there.
"Add on Stephy and Cokie as well, why are all the rats lining up behind Gonzales?"
I may be off base here, but here's a couple of thoughts: Either they know something we don't know (his real ideaology or have some dirt on him they're ready to smear) and/or they look at him as maybe the lesser of some of the 'evils' (e.g., more conservative types) that the Pres might appoint. By getting his name out, it makes it familiar to the public and also the Dims can say - hey, we're trying to work w the Pres here.
I'd like to see the Pres appoint Mark Levin - that would drive the Dims bonkers (hee hee)
They are not supposed to speak for themselves either or for laws external to the Constitution. IE: Laws in other countries have nothing to do with American laws.
The ad I saw I believe was mimicking a moveon.org TV ad which said GWB will continue to appoint judges who "interfere in our lives."...which is idiotic verbage following the Kelo eminent domain/public/private use decision. It very effectively reminded me and hopefully millions of others of the dangers of moderate appointees. Keep it up, moveon, you're doing great.
Thanks.
Cokie says women are more comonsensical than men. OFGS.
"Cokie says women are more comonsensical than men. OFGS."
She hasn't heard Madmax Waters, Botox Babs, Pelosi or Hitlery lately has she
That is exactly what I thought when I heard Feinstein say that about that "the people" want...
First of all, more Americans voted for President Bush BECAUSE of the judicial activism towards the LEFT...
Second, the SCOTUS isn't supposed to be trying to please "anyone" but maybe the founders who wrote the Constitution!!! They are only supposed to look at the case before them..
And, O'Connor has been accused of writing decisions that reflect our "culture" more than the Constitution!
Therefore, blocking any minority, be it black, brown, or female will have disastrous consequences for the Dems who purport to be a rainbow party. They're gig will be up.
I'll concur that Garza is the odds on favorite.
