According to the local paper they are still looking for the killer! As I stated earlier I wonder if these kids did not run down to the local camp site but when this whole thing started I told my husband I was certain that the police would more than likely get all the registration forms at the camp site. I hope that they were smart enough to do that.

I honestly didn't follow it too closely early on, or even now. I would imagine there were a number of agencies working on the case. The whole thing appears to be pretty bizarre to me.

I did see that comment in the paper. ("Meanwhile, the sheriff's department is now asking for the public's help to find a killer.") It seemed like an apple in a basket of oranges since nothing more was said. When I read a few paragraphs later about asking the public's help in placing Duncan and/or the Jeep over the past 6 weeks, I wondered if that was what they meant. I definitely found it confusing!

I missed today's briefing. They are supposed to be at 11am daily for awhile.

All he seems willing to say is that based on their preliminary investigation, they have reason to believe Dylan is dead.

I have followed it very closely as I live about a mile away from Wolf Lodge and I have children around the ages of Shasta and Slade. If my children were in the public school system they would have been in the same school and grade as them.

Then I found out that a friend was a cousin to Brenda.

In general I just do not see a sexual predator taking a chance to confront adult that may have guns in the house just to take the children. There is much more to this case.

Glad to hear it. Really am. Now all we need to do is convince parents and teachers to use those sites. Show children the photos, etc. Cannot imagine why anyone would be reluctant to know the truth. If a sex offender registry had existed when my daughter was young, I promise you I would have used it. A lot.

Duncan, according to his website, has a connection with a Christian motorcycle group...and of course, everyone knows he lived in Tacoma WA for a few years...coincidence?

Could the Dad have made the big mistake of hiring this monster to kidnap his kids to get them away from their mom? Not that Dad would have wanted anyone killed...but, there are no swans in the cesspool! When you hire a criminal, that is what you get!

The newspapers are reporting nothing about what Shasta is telling authorities about her brother's whereabouts. Which may indicate that he's still alive. God willing!

Exactly. He reduced this once vibrant child to a robot. Did you see the video taken of her at school just before she was kidnapped? She was in front of the class explaining something to them, very very sure of herself, highly intelligent, vivacious, upbeat, adorable. A child with everything she needed to have a great life. And now? My heart breaks for her.

The sad part about young man who informed the waitress that he was 100% sure it was Shasta, is that the Waitress conveniently neglected to mention him in her interviews and took all the credit.

NDSU student charged with molesting 7-year-old boy

An NDSU student and one of this city’s first high-risk sex offenders has been charged in Becker County, Minn., with molesting a 7-year-old boy near a middle school.

Joseph Edward Duncan III, 42, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct and attempted criminal sexual conduct. The criminal complaint accuses Duncan of approaching a 7-year-old boy and his 9-year-old friend with a video camera on July 3 at a middle school playground.
