Lawrence O'Donnel on McLaughlin Group: 'I'm probably gonna get pulled into the grand jury for saying this, but it will be revealed in Cooper's notes that it is Karl Rove who leaked Plame's identity'... Developing...
Get a life. Do you know how much the country cares or knows about the Rove-Plame media-driven-only frenzy? Nada, zippo, zilch, nothing.
This isn't even a tiny blip on the public radar, and it's really just another Beltway Dem attack on the very successful Republican, Karl Rove. Nothing will come of it, because nobody cares. There is no reason except the obvious attempt to somehow, someway, hurt the Dem's perceived nemesis, Karl Rove.
My God, who gives a crap about all this. It is PLAME HERSELF who "leaked" her identity. Everyone in D.C. knew who she was. She had no business retaining her clearance after her own indiscretions. Novak mentioned that early, how it was anything but a secret. This whole thing is so damn stupid. That Bush-hating bitch should have been canned from the beginning.
Monica didn't even need a throat-the dimple in her chin was deep enough.
Of course. I would risk jail for Dick Durbin if I were in their situation. The best thing for their careers would be to do time. They are going to make a FORTUNE on book and movie deals when they get out. $$$$$$!
Let's face it, Judith Miller was already persona non grata among her peers for her pro-Iraq invasion WMD pieces, the information in which turned out to be mostly wrong. This is the best thing she could have ever hoped for.
"..The American Prospect was founded in 1990 as an authoritative magazine of liberal ideas, committed to a just society, an enriched democracy, and effective liberal politics. Robert Kuttner, Robert Reich, and Paul Starr launched the magazine initially as a quarterly.
Since then, the Prospect has grown into a monthly magazine with a paid circulation of 55,000, a special in-depth report in most issues, and a daily Web magazine (www.prospect.org) with more than 300,000 monthly visitors.
Our mission, simply put, is to rise to the momentous occasion that confronts all Americans who seek a just society built on our greatest traditions. Contemporary conservatism stands to thwart those traditions; it advances its agenda by way of stealth, fear-mongering, and a massive propaganda apparatus. It is our mission to expose that agenda and the lies that support it..."
Thanks for that link! That's a great story!
that won't stop them from publicizing it themselves. Novak hates Bush.
wow, Junkheaded Thang, you lasted a long time, din't'cha?
Last night I went to Time Magazines website and found Matt Cooper's column dated 7/13/03 (I think) about the Leak Case. His source was "government officials). That could be members of Congress or just about anyone in Washington.
Novak's sources were "two senior administration officials".
It's NOT Rove.
I'm on Roves side. Its the MSM/Dim grudge match against our side that will never end until they find a way to put somebody from Bush's admin in jail. It doesn't matter if it is a "tiny blip" and you don't think anybody cares. When the Rats get control of the Attorney General's office again, then we will see our enemies on the march to find a way to jail members of the Bush Admin. for any technical violation of privacy regulations
"Let's face it, Judith Miller was already persona non grata among her peers for her pro-Iraq invasion WMD pieces, the information in which turned out to be mostly wrong. This is the best thing she could have ever hoped for."
Exactly. She is resurrecting her career by playing the victim. Apparently, she's taken a lesson from Hillary.
Who could ever forget?
He might be pulling a Coast to Coast AM. I predict XYZ will happen! You're a genius if it does, and well it doesn't really matter that much if you're wrong.
Ignoring the fact that the article is from a liberal pub, the gist of it may partially explain O'Donnell's comments (the Rove sending out info not the leaking part). The Prospect article basically says (hearsay) that Rove testified to the FBI the he and others sent out info on Plame AFTER Novak's article. So Time's notes may include info from Rove and others, but that does not make it illegal or wrong. It was after the fact of Novak running the Plame story.
Isn't Lawrence O'Donnel the same guy that had a complete melt down on MSNBC and hasn't been back since?
Mabe NOvak will be a hero and tell everyone it was Pat Buchanan. 2 birds with one stone. Save Rove and ditch Pat for awhile. He's the only one that didn't do time for Nixon.
If this is true, it is bad news.
I believe Novak said the leaker was a FORMER member of the Administation
If so .. then it's not Rove
