Lawrence O'Donnel on McLaughlin Group: 'I'm probably gonna get pulled into the grand jury for saying this, but it will be revealed in Cooper's notes that it is Karl Rove who leaked Plame's identity'... Developing...
Maybe they let him out of that looney-bin he must have been in, after the fool he made of himself the last times we heard from him! Eeeeuuuuuh!
But Jim, it had already been established by the Supreme Court that there was no shield protection for the press. Few legal scholars were surprised by their decision in this case for that very reason.
No, we shouldn't. Plame's name wasn't even protected information, and two TNYT reporters aren't going to jail for the big bad Karl Rove.
** Little factoid about Karl Rove: He was born on Christmas day and his middle name is Christian. (That ought to drive the left crazy just by itself).
"Creepy liar!"
(With apologies to the Laura Ingraham show.)
But I think Times/Times were arguing on several different fronts. First, they weren't shielding a crime of violence, but rather a "public's right to know" issue. Also, I believe they were arguing outing Plame wasn't a crime at all and therefore they couldn't be forced to reveal the source. Finally, they fought it in hopes of spurring Congress to affect a federal law immunizing the press from revealing sources.
Is there any video of this guy going Postal????

And what fun it is to remember how Lawrence O'donnell and Chris Matthews spent weeks and months saying it was Scooter Livvy who leaked to Novak. and that was before O'donnell completely flipped out, screaming like a mad man, "Liar, Liar, Liar", at the Swiftboaters.
O'Donnell back on television? Did he complete re-hab, or escape?
Below, from the full interview transcript, is an extract done by James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal of some of Lawrence ODonnells inquisition:
It's one of the many lies that the book advances. To me the most interesting lie, John O'Neill, that I would submit to you that you should answer, is, you make a lying claim
that John Kerry's antiwar activity prolonged the amount of time that prisoners of war were held in Vietnam. . . . That's a lie, John O'Neill! Keep lying, it's all you do! . . . Lies! . . . Which is not in John O'Neill's book, 'cause it's a lie! . . . That's a lie! It's another lie! That's a lie! Absolute lie! You lie in that book endlessly! . . . You lie about documents endlessly! . . . You're just lying about it! And you lied about Thurlow's Bronze Star! You lied about it as long as you could until the New York Times found the wording of what was on the citation that you as a lying writer refused to put in your pack of lies! . . . Disgusting, lying book! . . . You have no standards, John O'Neill, as an author, and you know it! It's a pack of lies! You are unfit to publish! . . . He just lied to you! He spews out this filth! Point to his name on the report, you liar! Point to his name, you liar! . . . You just spew lies! . . . I just hate the lies of John O'Neill. I hate lies. It's not an argument; they're proven lies. . . . O'Neill's a liar, he's been a liar for 35 years about this, and he's found other liars [unintelligible]. . . . They lied! . . . They're lying somewhere! . . . Lies! Just tell me the initials, you liar! Creepy liar! . . . You are a liar who makes things up! . . . You want the lies! That's how you make your living, on lies!

First, one has to be committed.
bye now, :)
Where's your proof that anyone committed perjury? If you are referencing O'Donnell's blatherings on PBS you still don't have any hard evidence that what he says is true.
