It's not just you -- FR does have a lot of monthly donors (and less than 1/3 of them have their names on the list).
We could use 700 more, though. ;-)

New freepers for the most part have no idea/concept of what funds Free Republic. That is why we have to have these fund raisers every quarter. They have to be educated to how Free Republic stays up and running each day.
Probably 10% or less of the regular Freepers make up 90% of the total funding. Jim and Rottibiz can correct me if I'm wrong.
