Buckley is in Aurora, Colorado, a suburb on the east and south side of the metro area.

Lowry has been shut down. Buckley is the home of the Colorado Air National Guard. I'm guessing that was a Guard jet.

It would have to be a Navy or Marine jet. (With a tiny possiblity of NASA.)

The ANG doesn't fly F-18s. They fly F-16s and F-15s.

Air Guard does not fly F/A-18s only the Navy, Marines, Canadians, Swiss and a few others. Probably just on a cross country and stopping for fuel.
