Hope it was a low speed taxiing collision, or failing that, that the pilot punched out in time....
Where is Buckley?
Ejection seat?
Some pilots have been known to fly it to the ground, rather than eject and endanger those on the ground.....I'm hoping the pilot punched out...
An F-18 hit a building at Buckley Air Force Base Thursday, The FAA confirmed. The jet landed and while attempting to slow down, it rolled at a slow speed crashing into a building.
We had a F18 put on one hell of a show last week at the Dyess Big Country Appreciation Day last week.
Also had a F18 on static display, the static one belonged to the Marines.
Prayers for all involved.
Latest on the radio - the plane never took off. It lost it's hydraulics and crashed into the hanger. Pilot is OK. Sounds like he destroyed a weather station though.
I thought it said Berkley. That would have been ironic. Of course a missle being 'misfired' into Berkley would have seem appropriate.
My boy was just reassigned to Buckley. I have a call in to make sure that everything is OK. Preliminary news would seem to indicate that's so. Militant
No no no no, prayers for all involved!
Didn't just yesterday a Buckley F-16 crash while attempting to land at Lamar, Colorado?
Just saw the video...too damned funny! Stuck the nose of the bird right into a hanger!
It wasn't SWA. Southwest Airlines doesn't fly to Denver.
