4.0?

Barely big enough to make the news.

actually, it's the opposite:

scientists believe having no earthquakes leads to pent up pressures, and thus stronger earthquakes later.

so, earthquakes are a good sign that pressures are being relieved.

Ordinarily yes...but...I've lived in CA for 23 years and I don't remember quakes swarming like this.

I know that the sky isn't falling...just haven't experienced this before..

Barely felt that one, and we're near Pomona. Just a slight sway side to side, and a little creaking. I think there have been some moderate sized aftershocks, or so my paranoid mind is making me think.

Very possibly an aftershock of the one about a week or so ago in that area.

4.0 isn't even a blip.....

We have had a few lately though, Huh?

Joe

Let's hope he was wrong, unless it destroys Streisand's house.

I wouldn't take all of this so lightly. It won't be so funny if a really big one hits.

Not sure it's worth posting about a 4.0 but it's in an area with another recent sizable quake. Could be an aftershock. Cat's been acting odd and I wouldn't be surprised SoCal sees more activity.

If you're sitting on top of it, even a 4.0 can get you attention.
