Look who is the spokesman of the DNC? Look at the brash statements democratic members of the house and senate make before congress...forever to be entombed within the congressional record. Very few dems called on Durbin to retract his remarks, yet they got their dander up when ROVE simple told the truth about "Liberals".
It's not without precedent for a sitting POTUS to call out treasoness members of the opposing party. (ala Lincoln)
Frankly, status qou isnt working. All I am suggesting the POTUS do, is simply compare and contrast known democrat statements (SUCH AS TED KENNEDY, DURBIN, et al.) with the facts in an open forum...thus, letting the country know he is disturbed by their seditious behaviour in twisting the truth.

You make some good points. The president could bring up the Rats' statements and then counter them without mentioning names or namecalling (even though the name "traitor" or "saboteur" would be factually correct regarding these America haters).
