Karl Rove's "Understanding of 9/11" (Jersey Girl Kristen is madder than ever!)
Huffington Post ^ | 6/23/05 | Kristen Breitweiser (Jersey Girl)

Posted on 06/24/2005 2:12:42 PM PDT by marylandrepub1

Mr. Rove, the first thing that I would like to address is Afghanistan - the place that anyone with a true “understanding of 9/11” knows is a nation that actually has a connection to the 9/11 attacks. One month after 9/11, we invaded Afghanistan, took down the Taliban, and left without capturing Usama Bin Laden - the alleged perpetrator of the September 11th attacks. In the meantime, Afghanistan has carried out democratic elections, but continues to suffer from extreme violence and unrest. Poppy production (yes, Karl, the drug trade) is at an all time high, thus flooding the world market with heroin. And of course, the oil pipeline (a.k.a. the Caspian Sea pipeline) is better protected by U.S. troops who now have a “legitimate” excuse to be in that part of Afghanistan. Interesting isn't it Karl that the drug “rat line” parallels the oil pipeline. (Yet, with all those troops guarding that same sliver of land, can you please explain how those drugs keep getting through?)

Now Karl, a question for you, since you seem to be the nation's self-styled sensei with regard to 9/11: Is Usama Bin Laden still important? Lately, your coterie of friends seems to be giving out mixed messages. Recall that in the early days, Bin Laden was wanted “dead or alive.” Then when Bin Laden slipped through your fingertips in Tora Bora, you downgraded his importance. We were told that Bin Laden was a "desperate man on the run,” and a person that President Bush was not "too worried about". Yet, whenever I saw Bin Laden's videos, he looked much too comfortable to actually be a man on the run. He looked tan, rested, and calm.

"Usama Bin Laden"

Usama?
Oh brother. On top of it all, she's a spelling-Nazi.

I take that personally because my brave son and his fellow troops are fighting the enemy over there and not here and that is why we have not had any attacks over here.

She seems to have the same misconception that many libs have that al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden are the only enemy we have. They just don't get it that there are other islamic terrorists other that Al-Qaeda.

"and left without capturing Usama Bin Laden-"

WHAT KIND OF A NUT IS THIS Jersey Girl ANYWAY?

We left Aftgan.? When, and in what alter world is this socialist liberal Jersey Girl operating in?

Rant if you must, as we understand that liberals are mental, but, at the very least, get the facts right!

without capturing Usama Bin Laden - the alleged perpetrator of the September 11th attacks.

Sounds like Kristen has doubts about this.

As to her arch comments about poppy production, President Karzai spoke movingly and eloquently recently about eradicating that and pointed out the obstacles but also the goal of ridding themselves of being known as the heroin nation.

I'll just say it, Kristen Breitweiser is an unmitigated bitch. She cannot point to one thing Rove said that is false. Not one.

Proving why they should keep calling her a "girl" and not a "woman". I wish she'd leave Jersey. Our politicians give us enough people who make the state the laughing stock of America...

Well .. I feel sorry for her .. she's probably headed for a nervous breakdown - and it could be speeded up if the dems lose big again in 2006 and 2008.

Typical liberals .. used her and when they no longer need her they just kick her to the side of the road. I think she's a ticking time bomb - waiting to go off.

"If the President really believes his own words, if those words have meaning, he should at the very least expect a public apology from Karl Rove. And frankly, he ought to fire him. If the President of the United States knows the meaning of those words, then he ought to listen to the plea of Kristen Breitweiser."

President Bush wrote Karl Rove's speech!

This woman is a tool. The Today show trots her out as 'representative' of the 9/11 families.

Debra Burlingame is much more representative of the majority of them, from what I can see.

This is from her (I hope it is okay to link...)

Great piece on NRO the corner on how Rove was right on.

MOVEOn.org did infact have an online petition with over 500,000 signatures within one week of 9-11 asking for "moderation and restraint"

Roves' comment was brilliant. He knows liberals better than they know themselves. This was calculated not off the cuff and he knew what their reaction would be

Liberals didnt say a thing when Durbin compared American soliders to the SS and Gitmo to a death camp in Poland. Now they are screaming bloody murder over Roves statement, which is factually correct.

they look like fools, hypocrites. Rove flushed them out like Ive never seen anyone flushed out before.

I remember in Feb 2002, in the middle of operation anaconda, the DEMS were demanding Bush come up with an exit strategy from Afghanistan.

She's trying to have it both ways. She said we were justified to go into Afghanistan, yet implies we're there for the oil.

Exactly! And even before 9/11, A-Zarqawi was meeting with certain leaders of the Kurds and Arabs as they were setting up (and financing via AQ in Afghanistan) the very infrastructure that would soon become Anzar Al-Islam. It wasn't a coincidence that AZ spent nearly two months in Iraq after being injured in the Afghan war...even before we invaded Iraq.

I've always believed that Iraq was going to be AQ's fallback because once Afghanistan fell, there were no other nations left that would be willing to harbor AQ...especially with an angered US coming after them. And with Saddam's recent history of providing safe-haven to other wanted terrorists (Abbas and Nidal), it was a pretty good bet that Iraq was going to become one of the new homes for AQ...especially with Saddam's financing.

I'm absolutely stunned that the left keeps dragging this person out as an example of reason and moderation.

Shhhhhhhhh! Let the woman talk--often and loudly!

Well well well, lookee what Karl Rove dragged in here. I really expected Kristen to come out earlier, when her benefactor Soros' "Freedom Center" at Ground Zero was being exposed. Maybe she figures this will get her those Hardball appearances she wants so badly.
