Crisis after crisis after crisis . .

============================

It was a home, Cristofaro said, that his father had lovingly surrounded with fruit trees, grapevines, yews and rhododendrons.

Today it is a parking lot.

To any of you Freepers out there that don't seem to think the decision will impact anybody...please tell me WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENTING PROPERTY AND OWNING PROPERTY? If you don't pay the rent, you get evicted. If you don't pay your property taxes, you get "evicted". Now, you can get evicted even if you do pay your "rent" if the landlord finds someone who will pay more. I think this ruling, in one fell swoop, wiped away the last vestiges of property ownership in the U.S.

If this site is about activism like some claim, they should be calling for hundreds of thousands of Americans to surround these homes on the day the government thugs come with their bulldozers. And stay til the government thugs back down.

Write your congresscritter today - click here. Tell them that either Kelo vs. New London will not stand ... or else you'll be voting for someone else next time. I've never advocated messing with our precious Constitution before, but today is the day. We need to mobilize now!

Say goodbuy to the the constitution because it is now gone. Not a single part of it is left intact. We no longer have a free nation. The CEO and board of directors has now become the lord of his kingdom and can evict anyone he wants to for the sake of improving his own land holdings buy the power of his money and lawyers. That is what happens when idiots forget to just read and follow the constitution and instead interpret what they want it to say.

Maybe it's time for a massive peaceful demonstration to stand with these embattled homeowners to show support for these embattled homeowners. The outrage against this tyranical supreme court decision will bring thousands to support these people. Maybe the politicians will think twice.

This doesn't bode well for the "Super Slab" proposal in Colorado.

That "toll road" being proposed right down the front range...in the name of progress, of course.

Landowners who have resisted selling their farm and ranchlands....BEWARE!

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Waco situation arise for some of those people who don't want to sell their homes.

And if we aren't pressing Congress to amend the constitional amendment to preclude seizure for economic development, we're nuts and deserve everything we get.

How did the majority defend their opinion? What did the it (the Court opinion) say?

and this is why every single vote for every single candidate makes a difference... none of this, "lesser of two evils," because this is what we get...

if your local government is packed with people fully charged to exercise Eminent Domain--kick them off... replace them with people like YOU... people who believe that the Supreme Court's ruling is unconstitutional... it all matters...

We get to pay skyrocketing home prices . . .

And we don't even own what we bought.

I got called to jury duty in a week or two. I may just sport a new Kelo vs New London t-shirt of some sort...

It's time for these homeowners to take the money and run. I saw the telecast of the 7 holdouts and the place looks like a ghetto.

Two ways to screw up Pfizer's plan:

1) Get two endangered lizards or beetles and put them on your property then call the EPA. You'll never be able to build anything else there but neither will they. (It's one of those evil pharmaceutical firms after all, the environuts will be more than happy to help).

2) Get some highly toxic chemicals and spread them around your yard. Ever heard of Love Canal? Best to wait to do this after the eminent domain check has cleared. You won't be able to live there but neither will they.
