The Question is....... Will San Antonio be set a blaze tonight?
I don't know a thing about basketball, but it seems funny a small town in Texas is the best in the NBA
I'm not sure if there is anythng left to burn in detroit.
Classy team - I love the Spurs!
I would be very surprised.
Absolutely correct.
It seems funny that you think a city of 1.5 million people is a "small town"... LOL
Giving conflicting accounts of whether or not he planned to remain in Detroit to local newspapers and to the New York Post.
Dissembling-or at least, not being forthright in explanation-when it came to rumored contacts between him and Cavaliers management.
It's one thing to be a journeyman, but to not even bother honoring the basic underlying premise of a contract is pretty disgusting, if you ask me.
No... that's what Laker fans do...
Sweetie,
If you're happy, I'm happy!

San Antonio Population: 1,144,646
Its not that small.
I was rooting for Duncan, and he absolutely dominated the final, critical seven minutes of the third quarter. He stepped up when he was needed the most--in the second half of game seven--and lived up to his super-star sobriquet. But his post-game/award comments disappointed me.
First, he said that he knew what he wanted to do for himself, and his teammates. Unmentioned went the fans, who he thanks for their devotion in a scripted NBA commercial, and the city.
Then, he went on-and-on about his deserving teammates and team, but never complemented the Pistons for being as great as they are and making this series the classic it was. The Pistons were no less deserving; I've rarely seen a mentally tougher, more cohesive team in any sport.
I don't mean to sound petty, but Duncan looks like such a thoughtful man that I expected something more diplomatic, even if not Solomonic.
:7)
-good times, G.J.P. (Jr.)
I don't like San Antonio at all. Three of their starters are foreigners and one of them was even born in Belgium and raised in France. How much worse could it get? If he declares for Islam tomorrow?
San Antonio is yucky!
Congratulations, Spurs!
Bill Walton in the pre game show called San Antonio to win the game.
Well I guess you haven't been to downtown Detroit lately...
Walton is a deadhead. He is still having flashbacks.
Yep, not any more. The metro is at 2 million, and if you combine San Antonio with nearby Austin, it is a market the same size as Minneapolis-St. Paul, Seattle-Tacoma, Phoenix, or Denver and the entire Front Range. And growing by 75,000+ a year. The area won't have a small town feel for much longer (unfortunately.)
