(CBN News) -- The 2004 elections showed Democrats losing ground among their base, even among African-Americans who traditionally vote Democrat.
But in November, the President and the Republican Party increased their margin among black voters. In part, this was because of a deep connection to social stands against homosexual marriage and abortion.
In his new book, "They Think You're Stupid," author Herman Cain said Democrats have taken certain votes for granted. And he outlined what Republicans should do to remain the ‘party of choice’ among a field of new voters.
Cain was one of America's most successful businessmen before turning to politics. He was well known for turning around Godfather's Pizza.

Mr. Cain is a very successful and very well-spoken black man. Will black people listen to him? One can only hope.

I don't know any "african-americans". I know a lot of Americans. I see them everyday. I see all different sizes, genders, colors, and style......then again...

Mr. Cain was here in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, and presented a very articulate case for the Fair Tax.
