The Kalpoe boys may be telling the truth. When Joran called them for assistance, after the beach incident, maybe they refused, and so Joran had to call his father for help.

I think your right... I do believe that they drop Joran and Natalee off at the beach (we hear it was near the Marriott) - Deepak and Satish's mom said that Natalee asked to go back to her hotel after the trip to the lighthouse. It sounds like the brothers did not know what hotel she was staying at, and maybe Joran said for them to just drop them off at the Marriott beach and he would see that she got back to her hotel. The boys go home and get a text message from Joran for them to come get him as he needs a ride home (about 1 hour after they dropped Joran and Natalee off at the beach). Satish takes Deepak's car to get Joran. (Deepak is saying that was Satish and not Deepak that got the call from Joran - it sounds like Satish went to give Joran a ride home) Satish goes alone in Deepak's car. Satish picks up Joran and takes him home. Joran wakes up Dad because the girl is dead and he hid her on the beach. Daddy VDS and Joran go back to the beach to get her body. Joran tells Satish and Deepak that "something bad happened" on the beach and asked that the 2 brothers say that they all dropped her off together at the Holiday Inn and and that they saw 2 security guards walk up to her when they dropped her off. Why they would lie for Joran may simply be due to who Joran's father is and that Joran's father may become a judge on the small island. Rumors were one of the brothers was/is a drug dealer. So maybe that was held over their heads.

after Satish drops Joran off at Joran's house - Satish goes home. One of the brothers said something in the beginning that they were at Joran's on Monday around the pool and that is when the plan came up about saying they drop Natalee off at the HI. So it is likely the brothers really don't know what happened to her...only that "something bad happened". Maybe they were blackmailed by Joran and maybe the father also on the day they were around the pool at Joran's. If Deepak deals drugs that might be somewhat enough, but then they all know they were the last ones to see her and others saw Natalee getting into Deepaks car with all 3 of them. Maybe Joran or Joran's father told them that they would pin it on the brothers if they talked about what they knew. - Flat out Blackmail - Now that Daddy is in Jail - I heard a rumor today that they were thinking about letting the 2 brother go. Maybe the cops promised them they would bring in the father and hold him if they would talk. Maybe the reassured the brothers finally that they know the brothers were being blackmailed. Maybe there is some trust now between the brothers and Aruba police.
