Mickey John doesn't have air conditioning. The Van der sloots did according to Beth!!

It really is not an issue. More or less being sarcastic. However I do not think that Beth used the word air conditioning.

But in John's home I did noticed that the windows were open, their was a breeze because the curtains were moving from it and the electric fans were running.

Since I am not able to keep up with all of these posts can you tell me if the possibility of the elder Van der sloot being blackmailed has been discussed or given much weight? I know their is a trend to think he was well connected and being given undeserved leniency but I think as good of case could be made that he is a man who was in a career crisis and questionable standing. (Somewhere in this thread I read that he wasn't well liked in his work and had been assigned to low profile duties.)
