It's interesting to look at this case from all points of view. Since so few facts are known, I try not to zero in on any particular theory.

On Fox and Friends this morning I think it was Brian who asked Beth to give us a new clue to rejuvenate the media. She didn't respond, but I'm hopeful she'll start to reveal what she knows. Otherwise this will quickly reach a dead end, IMHO.

Oh..DJ, I never meant to imply that our Shep would EVER leave a girl stranded. Sorry. Like you said, he strikes me as being quite the gentleman and honorable as well.

Shepard was graduated from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. Ole Miss for all of us old alums. A thousand pardons for going off thread there but I am so frustrated with all the crap going down in Aruba I can't see straight.

The Trolls don't understand that it helps all of us who feel deep EMPATHY for the Holloways and Twittys to blow off steam by discussing this case in depth.

That's a good point. I recall reading about some girls who saw or heard a girl being dragged off the beach. Can't find it..darn.

There are some people who have the qualifications as to kinesis and conducting criminal investigations, to be possibly very accurate in their speculations/comments.

Perhaps. But are any of those very qualified experts the ones who're posting their speculations here on FR? For some reason I'm skeptical of that.

(I've even seen a few "experts" on Fox News go off the deep end speculating, when they really have no facts to go on.)

If any of the posters here are Aruban investigators who have been questioning all the suspects and have personal knowledge of all the known facts of this case, then they've got something real to work with. Again, somehow I'm skeptical that it's those people who are posting on FR

Btw, I wonder what I've said that conjures up a werewolf image. LOL!

Shep didn't graduate, or at least that was what an article here so stated last week. He's a Hottie Tottie in my book regardless.

I'm going with the instincts of Natalee's mother. She thinks the elder VDS knows more than he's told.

I have great respect for Natalee's mother, and I hope I would be able to handle myself with as much energy and composure and grace as she has, were I in that awful situation.

However, Natalee's mom is under huge stress. Hardly in a situation to make rational judgments about things.

I'm a mom too and have also been in terrifying situations involving my children (including a life-threatening one); and looking back, I can see that I was very wrong about some things I was very certain about back then.

I found it interesting that Beth said she had her own "agenda" when she went to see Paulus. She has been very vague about details from their meeting other than his sweat.

I can't get this "left her alone on the beach" out of my mind. Shepard Smith even said that, when he was in college, it was commonplace for guys to leave girls who'd had too much to drink. Am I naive or is this, in fact, commonplace? [shudder]

It happened to me many moons ago when I was a high school graduate going to summer school at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. We went out on a catamaran cruise 'mixer'. I met an older guy from New York and after the cruise a group of us went and had pizza, then he and I took a stroll on the beach. He got fresh with me and I didn't comply. He got p*ssed and left me there, and it was 1:00 a.m. in the morning! It taught me a huge lesson and scared me to death, but fortunately I found my friends and got back to the dorm alright.

You asked: "Then why did he first say he and the Kalpoe brothers dropped her at the HI?"
_______________________________________________________

Perhaps he was embarrassed that he left her alone, on the beach.

When it was clear that she had met with foul play, he and the two Kalpoes should have come clean. Instead, they kept lying, which is why all their motives are suspicious.

This is an Agatha Christie novel - except that Natalee is a daughter, a sister and a young woman who is still missing. Nothing else matters.

And then there was a man,
that heard a girl screaming
in distress, on the beach.

The man went to
a hotel security guard to
report it.....the guard blew
the man off.....the man didn't
press the issue.....went on
about his business.....

If this is so, why didn't the
man go and investigate the
girl on the beach himself?

Too many rumors.

Hmm, another DJ coming out and saying that Joran's a great guy (but too stupid to hide this girl). We know what happened to the last DJ who vouched for Joran.

PS Not flaming you, just stating what I saw. :)

OK, thanks, I know you weren't flaming.

The mom was both sweating and crying at the same time. That's what I saw anyway. I think I'd be both sweating and crying if I were the mom too.
