It sounds like she is lying now. I initially thought she had nothing to do with the case. Now I think she wants to obstruct it so the perps can go free.
If there is never a body found then convicting any of them will be very hard. PVDS would know this and he probably knew to make sure they got rid of her body and everything would blow over. The story about the security guards might have been dreamed up by the father and he may have told the boys to say it. I just keep thinking that there was a meeting between all 3 boys and the father. The boys would be included because Joran might have called Deepak first (one hour after Deepak drop them at the beach). The father may have come into the picture during the panic, either they took Natalee to Joran house or they stashed her body on the beach and drove back to Joran's house to wake his father up. However it went down I really believe the father helped get rid of her body.
Pushing Joran to school on Monday would have been his fathers idea so that everything seemed normal in Joran's life.
If they all keep quiet then there won't be anyone convicted unless they find some hard evidence (like her body or a crime scene with her DNA all over it).
I just hope that the brother played no part in killing her and that they start telling everything they know and quit covering for Joran now that his father is in jail. They also may know what happened to Natalee's body and they may feel that Joran will walk free, so they are still keeping tight lipped.
Fox News confirming that Paulus Van Der Sloot will remain incarcerated for another 48 hours.
Thank you for keeping up with all of this and pinging me to the threads. I really appreciate it.
I think you just answered the $64,000.00 question! It makes sense that Beth picked up on a crucial inconsistency but pretended she wanted to meet with them again the next day. Beth probably made the information known to either the FBI or some contact with the Aruban authorities. I can't wait for everything to unfold and see if we can confirm this hunch.

Linda Allison, Natalees aunt is talking about Paulus sweating and wringing his hands when Greta and Holloway-Twitty was at the VDS. Also discussing Paulus's attitude at the hotel toward Jug. Linda states that they have gotten only bits and pieces. She states that they pray and God gives them strength to carry on. They have hope that Natalee is still alive. It may be possible that Natalee was kidnapped and who ever has her they could be moving her from house to house is Linda's answer to a question that was posed to her by Alan Colmes.
Thanks, TexKat, I'm on FR and away from the t.v., but have been wondering if daddy sloot would be let go. I'm very glad he's being held longer.
I know that you do kcvl. My heart goes out to you as well as Natalee's family and friends.
Wonder who Steve was closest to Deepak or Joran?
I also noticed that daddy sloot was sweating profusely during the Greta interview. Someone said on an earlier post that it sure was convenient that the telephone rang and daddy sloot took the opportunity to leave the interview altogether.
He was obviously very uncomfortable and nervous. His body language spelled "guilty" if you ask me. I doubt daddy sloot has even told his wife the truth, but he definitely has crucial information involving his son, and may have helped get rid of Natalee (dead or alive). If not, and he's innocent, Joran will start talking to protect his dad, IMO.
Okay, perhaps I'm a tad naive. I think I now get the Cn'C/Tatto m.o. They play the drinking games, the girls get on stage for the booty games, some regular locals arrive around last call to hit on the loaded tourists.
Here's the main page of the photo album I posted earlier, includes pics from Cn'C:

that's him for sure
If I remember correctly the phone rang both times that Greta was there.
Thank you brigette.
Better late than never maggiefluffs, lol.
Once I saw all the pictures I sort of knew what was happening. I have a daughter that graduated high school 2 years ago. When she was in highschool she was in the band. They had a lot of outings and quite a few social gatherings, plus the yearly battle of the bands. I chaperoned just about 90% of these outings and when I was not chaperoning I was still present. On alot of these occasions there were these sleez ball individuals (men and women) that would show up passing out fliers inviting our teenagers to these booty girl parties.
We had a band dance for the band members one year at a hotel and across the hall one of these booty parties was being held. I patrolled the hallway and it was not easy to keep some and some I was unsuccessful of keeping our 18 year olds from leaving our band dance and joining the booty party. The only thing that brought them back to the band dance was a fight that broke out at the booty party, (2 booty girls fighting).
Did she mention it rang when they weren't on camera with Beth's interview? I don't remember Greta reporting about it, but there are so many nuances about his case, I can barely keep up!
I do have a very good feeling about daddy sloot's arrest though. Joran should be cracking as we speak or at least in the next few hours.
