"Come to Aruba...we are not a party nation!"
Sorry, its just the jealousy talking...that, and drinking Gatorade alone on Friday night!
(Plus, Mr. h is in the doghouse....)

Look under his picture: it says "I love Natalie"
Yeah, that is weird...especially with the "lol" after it. Wonder when it was taken, but I guess this Natalie is the girlfriend (?) in the picture with him.

Snoop that I am, I just love it when I get those accidental phone calls and you can listen to what is going on if you so desire. :)
Same here...Mum's cell phone accidentally rang me the other day but all I heard was her telling my Dad that Kroger had cheese on sale.
I told her about it so she bought a sturdier cover for her phone! But, who knows; maybe Beth rang Natalie's number & the cell went off in the PVDS house...

Plus, he might not want to have written a check...would leave a paper trail. Cash would be safer, as long as the ATM wasn't checked out.

Maybe the Texans should check that area first if it is well known that illegals try to enter Aruba near the reefs. DJ, VDS' could take DJ's boat out there....

NO MORE AMBIEN for me..no way!
Ask your dr. about switching to Klonopin Wafers. Ambien gave me the night time "amnesia" and I always felt a "drug hangover" the next day, even though I took a low dose. Klonopin doesn't seem so harsh on the system.
Of course, a hot toddy and a good book sometimes work, too!
And, now back to our regularly scheduled thread....

I kept hearing the party background music, too...it was surreal. Felt very odd considering the circumstances.

Thank you for sharing your perspective, CitizenM. I'm always ashamed later for speculations I make in the beginning. Think I'll reel myself in a bit. Thanks, again, and I am so sorry to hear of what happened to your family and the family of the boy who was innocent.

yeah, I have to go back to view the irony of the quote that the Aruban officials (loosely quoted) "we can't go in like cowvboys" used a few days ago...when the essence of their justice system is to do just that, they held 2 completely innocent minorities on the basis of finger pointing. They held and sullied the name of 2 innocent persons (and their families) without the benefit of a lawyer and the higher threshold of evidence that is demanded in the American system.
I sense that their prejudices toward the American system is based on ignorance and an annoying false sense of superiority...how many times have you heard "you don't understand our system" with an air of arrogance and assumption of American "stupidity". I am so glad that Beth Holloway and the American Media cleaned the official's clock, for too long the "Aruban Officials" have been the essence of the "cowboy " justice that they wrongly accused our more fair system of justice of.
Of late they have changed their tune...but the arrogance and demeaning attitude of the officials on this Island has not been lost on me.
To: cajungirl
I just told my husband that and he chuckled and said "wouldn't it be funny if there was a serial killer in that high school class"Aha, now I see where you may get some of your very excellent sense of humor.

Your post gave me pause to think. I do think that the events of detaining persons in this case have been very suspect, even considering the differneces of Aruban law vs. American. One cannot discount two events. The first one being the letting go of the three boys and then detaining them a week or so later(thus losing valubal forensic evidence) and the holding of two innocent suspects. The second being the very aggresive move of detaining Paul Van de Sloot. If he were involved in any way given the allowances of the Aruban Justice system they should have held his son immediately. If "God Forbid" Natalee had been dumped in the ocean the most likely route to finding her would be sooner rather than later. Still, I do see your point, I just wish the "officials" had handled things differently in order to give more credibility.

complicity to kidnap? Maybe after she was kidnapped, taken against her will at some point, and before she was dead, maybe unconscious or near death, he helped conceal her from the public and didn't get help. And then she died and so he was a party, by concealing her, to kidnapping and murder. \

For just a minute I thought you were talking about Aruba and I was going "whoa! Stonewall Jackson was shot in Aruba" , boy Aruba has a long bad history. Then I read on and said "Robert E Lee lived in Aruba! How could I have not known that!!".
Your post made me laugh at myself!
To: hummingbird
it is very incongruous to have them talking about a potential murder with the music playing. and last night, i don't recall if it was during greta or when Alan was interviewing someone, a girl was SCREAMING in the background. i am sure it was playful screaming, but Lordy, it happened several times and given the subject matter of the interviews i just found it chilling!
