Isn't lack of devotion to Scientology the reason that Nicole Kidman was dumped by Cruise?

If so, congrats to her for keeping her head on her shoulders.

Cruise has made some real strange films lately, one which is crude and grotesque. His action thrillers are becoming predictable hence boring.

I'm not much of a movie goer anymore but I would pass on Cruise at the video store. I would classify him as part of the new Hollywood trash art.

We need new talent, new faces in the American film industry. We also need scripts with new themes, like election-rigging and union corruption. But that wouldn't fly with Teamster bosses in Hollyweird.

Best of luck to the new conservative film makers and their film festivals.

"Then answer the question."

Control issues, as well.

I really don't care enough to want to find out.

I hear ya. However, before Tom kisses the bride, he might want to look up the FAQ on herpes.

That stupid grin she plasters on her face every time she's with him really gets on my nerves!

They're all good, but have limited range. Of the three you mentioned, Duvall probably has the widest. There are just some parts Nicholson cannot play. Those he can play, he plays well. Hackman is definitely underrated.

How can Scientology be a "religion." In the link to Xenu another freeper gave, I didn't read any mention to God or Jesus or a Savior or a Higher Power, other than one's self. Am I any where close?

Very. There are several religions that don't have a God. Most are polytheist, animist sort of beliefs. Buddhism doesn't have a God either.

Scientology does recognize a senior all powerful God, "the 8th Dynamic", but only sort of in passing, and doesn't direct it's efforts much towards it.

They are a religion because religious organizations don't pay taxes.

That too...

Plus, the rotten little Scientology solicitors are positively nasty when rebuffed. They were all over Florida when I lived there.

Offer to tell them what's on OTIII...

Any actress that has to bare all for the cameras so close to the beginning of her career as she did is kinda desperate IMO.
Plus she has horrible posture.

Yea, Katie is just using him. Sleeping her way to the top.

Happens all too often in film and politics.

Look, let me save you a lot of time and boil it down for you: you get to be a Scientologist if you're not quite stupid enough to be a Muslim.

*snrk*

The is in the stament containing Tom Cruise and Crazy is not a question.

Tom Cruise IS crazy.. its not a question.

That's like saying "Is Scientology a cult?"... when in reality this is nothing more than a dislexic mistake.. Scientology IS a cult.

I'd have to say Cruise is better than Kevin Costner, though.

My goldfish has more range than Costner....

I just asked one of my gay co-workers if Cruise was gay, and he said very thoughtfully, "I think so."

Then he said: "But we don't want him, he's crazy."

. But up until recently, Cruise has hid this pretty well. Why is he acting like a moonbat now? I don't know, maybe he's gotten new PR people working for him that don't control him, or maybe his higher-ups in Scientology are manipulating him, or maybe whatever mental problems he had before are becoming more severe. It will be interesting and sad to watch him implode in the next few years

According to what I've read he fired his PR managers, so now there's no one to tell him he's acting like a nut.

"Don't practice your Nazi science on me. LOL."

So, you now agree with Tom Cruise and the Scientologists, that Jungian psychiatry is a Nazi Science? Answer the question, please.

It's not "mine," by the way.

You admit you don't attend movies today yet feel qualified enough to give us a critique on Tom Cruise's acting ability.

That's nice. Not.

From the ups and downs in his life and his level of "energy" when he is "UP", Tom Cruise seems like he might be manic depressive. gosh, i hate to see when he comes down with this current love, it will be nicole all over again.
