"If you remember, we had three big quakes in 1992 in less than 24 hours. 6.5 to 7.1 I believe so we have at least one to go. Unnngh..."

Wasn't that a really wet/rainy year like this one?

Just makes me that much more nervous to go to Seattle at the end of August. But hey, if I'm going to die in an earthquake, so be it!

lol! Yep. I know, I know. I've pretty much been able to drop the "prepping for the Big One" as it takes up too much psychic space. Folks elsewhere don't understand what a constant in the subconscious it is for Californian's. Of course, what makes it worse is all the fearmongering that goes on in the (CA) MSM. It intensifies that "nervousness". People began acting weird, so do the animals.. just on "preparation nervousness vibes" alone. And of course the "drama" of an earthquake which hurts no one, is used to hide a great many "earth shattering" bits of legislative and/or political news. Typical...

There's more to the "Earth In the Balance" crapola than just mere "pcism". The liberals use natural events all the time in furthering their agenda.

Good morning.
"Everything East of the Rocky Mountains will one day slide into the Atlantic Ocean during one of these really big quakes!"

I thought it would be everything east of the California coastal range. It's good that I'm a sailor. After the Big One hits I'll be able raise the black flag and sail east to plunder Phoenix.

"And it lasts a lifetime, that training.

It's the ability to make fast decisions using clear logic. That's the remaining trait that lasts after they send you to all those schools and assignments. I make good money now and work for idiots. I toss them an idea once in a while just to shake things up.

lol!!! As my pals and I would say in "North California-ese".. "Yep, I say a thing now or then just to hear liberal sphincter muscles *snap* -- to make sure they realize they've still got some will power left..."

It's a Nor CA "language" thing..

My college roommmate is staying in California and felt the past 2, including the one out in the ocean earlier, so I bet he felt this one as well.

It doesn't count if it is in the ocean and not even a 7.

It isn't a big earthquake yet.

Interesting though Braak, I just went to the earthquake map that we all are supposed to rely on , and I cannot find that shaker anywhere......

They say there is a 1 in 20 chance these could be foreshocks.

If it is associated with the previous one out to sea, it looks like an aftershock.

Ok, It shows up the the US link, but is NOT recorded in the " all earthquakes" , nor can you see it on the CA-NV link. Guess they are just too busy to record any " off shores"*G*
