It's exactly like when we send our kids to Mexico. It's another Nation and that in and of itself is the biggest problem if they get into trouble. Our gov't can't protect us everywhere, even tho some think it can.

Mexico can be very dangerous. I would pass on Mexico for the foreseeable future.

Agreed. We need to impress upon those traveling to foreign countries to make sure they abide by the laws of their host country.

It clearly states, on my passport, once you leave the United States, our laws, our freedoms, do not exist.

If you find yourself in a bad situation, do not expect the United States to help you.

So, basically, you're on your own.
