Congress is currently accepting public testimony about off-reservation gambling. Rep. Richard Pombo, chairman of the Committee on Resources, held an oversight hearing on the issue last week in Sacramento — one outcome was a request for input from people across America. Honestly, I would have a hard time getting worked up if the ultra rich, ultra liberal Hamptonites got their billions in real estate taken from them by the indians. After all, the liberals are ever so compassionate to the indians and their current plight and demand compensation for them very often.
The whole rest of the United States that is not a reservation was acquired by extremely violent land grabs. Now they play the game by the rules, and you want to change them. What gives?
