I've heard him speak....extremely compelling. Despite hearings on the Hill, there is still not enough being done to help the suffering of NK under their hideous regime.

I listened to Blanquita Cullum at Radio America interview
Vollertsen a few years ago. Interesting guy with quite the story to tell.

The international community, working closely with the media, must put serious pressure on the North Korean regime to open up to the outside world and save the lives of their ordinary citizens. If it doesn't help bring down the USA, the 'international community' could care less. As a German, perhaps he should look to the EU to take the lead. They did so well in Serbia. Handling this little situation half way around the world should be right up their alley.

See, Germans don't always believe their government's BS.

Remember this the next time you hear some leftist sounding pleased that North Korea is standing up to the United States. That their hatred for America is greater than their hatred of this regime speaks volumes.

I had an NRA-inspired thought: How about using a UAV to air drop thousands of small handguns with ammo across the countryside? We could also drop some chocolate bars and bags of rice at the same time. The oppressed need the means to fight back.

I've heard that the S. Korean government prevents N. Koreans from getting on TV to slander their government. They don't want to 'provoke' the n koreans.

If NK had a brain they would open their Southern border and say have at it to all their hungry, poor, criminal, sick and unwanted citizens. In less than 10 years they would own SK!

There are two worlds in North Korea: One is the world of senior military officers, Communist Party members, and the countrys ruling elite. They enjoy a lavish lifestyle, fancy restaurants, diplomatic shops with European foods, nightclubs, even a casino.
The world for ordinary people in North Korea is completely different. In their world, one can see young children, undersized, undernourished, mute, with sunken eyes and skin stretched tight across their faces, wearing uniform blue-and-white-striped pajamas. Anyone whos seen pictures of Dachau or Auschwitz would find the scene distressingly familiar. Remember all animals are equal. It's just that some animals are more equal than others.
