How can you purposely let a life die of thirst? How sick. Let's put aside moral arguments for a sec. You do realize that without her higher brain centers, she wouldn't experience thirst? Are you aware that conscious people who are on feeding tubes for an extended time don't experience hunger or thirst per se?

My mother was on a feeding tube for TWO YEARS and I can assure you, she experienced thirst. She was constantly asking for water.

And certainly they can't suffer from the other, deeper effects of dehydration I'm sure. < /sarcasm >
