"So she was in no pain whatsoever from slowly dehydrating to death?"
None whatsoever.
Now, now. I'm sure it will be forthcoming on the same day Howard Dean issues a weasel-free apology for his last few corkers.
I'll look tonight. It's hard to miss: anytime there's discussion about the case on TV, the clip is played endlessly on a loop. (Actually, I'm not sure that The Onion was far wrong in reporting that Teri died of embarrassment.)
Well we do know that Michael owns the County Sherriff so how hard would it be for him to buy the Medical Examiner. The only way I would have trusted the autopsy is if it was done by the FBI....

I noted from the report that the ME also attached reports from other professionals -- e.g., Stephen J. Nelson, M.D. -- a pathologist. Also, in the bibliography to his report, he cites from other sources, such as Charles Winek, a noted pathologist.
Now, are you going to say that all of these other individuals aer part of the "conspiracy"?
Yoi..............
everyone's part of the conspiracy. You too!
"This case showed an ugly irrationality on the part of too many at FR."
Saddly, it was nowhere near limited to FR. I can'tell you hos dissapointed I was to hear the same thoughtless drivel leaking out of the mouths of media persons whom I had previously respected. I guess everyone's a sucker every now and then.
If you follow the logic of many of these posters, pretty much everyone in Florida is in on this conspiracy. See, Michael Schiavo, with his few hundred thousand dollars, was able to buy Sheriffs, Judges and now maybe even a Medical Examiner.
It makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
The Medical Examiner convinced me that I got this one wrong.
Live and learn.
I note from Dr. Thogmartin's report that he says this at the end:
"It is the policy of this office that no case is ever closed and that all determinations are to be reconsidered upon receipt of credible, new information. In addition to fading memories, the 15-year survival of Mrs. Schiavo after her collapse resulted in the creation of a voluminous number of documents many of which were lost or discarded over the years. Receipt of additional information that clarifies outstanding issues may or shall cause an amendment of her cause and manner of death."

So it seems to me that if the ME is inviting any proof to the contrary, then he would not be part of the "conspiracy" -- he would just close his books and that would be that. That he is willing to keep this matter open appears to me that he's not likely to suddenly "lose" the file or disregard anything credible.
So instead of hurling accusations here, why don't those of you who disagree with the doctor's findings submit to HIM some proof of your assertions?
everyone's part of the conspiracy. You too!
****
Shhhh!! Now you've done it. LOL
Yes, and I'm part of the culture of death too. :)

Do that. And don't take my word for it. ..you can see the video on some websites, too.
Ask yourself, honestly.. are her eyes following the balloon, or is the balloon following her eyes, guided by the person holding it?
"She died of marked dehydration. She did not starve to death," Thogmartin said. As measured by the balance of salt and water in her body fluids, the dehydration was the most severe he had ever seen. This attested to Schiavo's robust underlying health, and in particular the strength of her heart, the pathologist said.
I repeat - the dehydration was the most severe he had ever seen. Terri was a human being entitled to Constitutional protection.
A heart stopping for reasons other than a heart attack is quite common. Many things can make a heart stop and leave no damage. A heart becomes damaged during a normal heart attack when the blood supply going to the muscles of the heart is reduced or stopped, this causes muscles to die and leaves a scar tissue. If Terri's heart stopped because of an electrical problem, some type of ventricular fib for instance, there would be no scars. Other wise all deaths would show up as heart attacks on an autopsy because everyone who dies heart stops at one point or another.
I doubt she'd appreciate being co-opted, pried, poked and prodded by a lunatic fringe group of buttinskis. Poor thing. You'd think if they really cared so much about her, they'd just let her rest in peace.
If you have to ask, I can't explain it. You are the victum here.
Hannity bought, hook, line & sinker total accusations and vicious lies about MS.
Sean didn't bother to look at any of the medical facts or court documents.
I still have little respect for Sean. He didn't want to know actual facts of the case. Or he would have done some homework/research as many of us did, before deciding for ourselves.
Yes, well, apparently it seems that whenever that happens, or CPR is terminated, or all heroic measures aren't taken in perpetuity then it's a murder.
You've got THAT right! Hear, hear.
