thanks.
Sumpin' in my eye....
This is the kind of kid the libs say shouldn't even exist. Prenatal testing should make it possible to wipe his kind out before they ever see the light of day. The movement to destroy the Ryans of this world has been successful too. Down Syndrome kids, for instance, are quite rare today. After all, what purpose do their very limited lives serve? (That is, except to give the rest of us a chance to become more decent human beings.)

I need to see if I can find that warranty card. My monitor seems to have gone all blurry.

Wow.
A good story for a change...this one will make the email rounds....like the other tale of the hadicapped kid who wanted to play baseball so much.
Good for the other team, too. Thats sportsmanship of the highest level.
Wonderful, touching story! Thanks for posting.
"We want Ryno. We want Ryno."
The cry of the McCain wing of the GOP...
The team fared well but about 95% of the points were being scored by two kids, the coach's son and another kid that was a foot taller than everyone else. It was very frustrating to see these two constantly hogging the ball and alot of the parents had made comments to the coach to no avail.
My son, who is a good athlete, though doesn't play much basketball, along with 4 or 5 others as well as Charlie (the spec. ed. kid), had remained scoreless on the year.
Fast forward to the final 10 seconds of the last game, the coach's son dribbles the ball off his foot and there's a mad scramble for the ball. My son gets to it at the same time as the coach's son and snatches it out of his "teammate's" hands and drives for the basket. Passing up a chance to score in the last game, he passes the ball out to Charlie who was just kind of hanging out. Charlie catches the ball as my son was yelling to him, "Shoot it, Charlie, SHOOT IT!"
Charlie was a little stunned but launched a high-arching shot from the baseline about 12 feet out. Same result.... swish, as the buzzer sounded. I got choked up after the game when Charlie's mom came up and gave my son a huge hug and kiss.
I love these stories and am grateful to have one of my own to share.
darn *sniff* allergies...
Man, that one one got to me!
There is a kid like this that plays football with my son at KOFA High School here in Yuma Az. His name is Chris. This kid is at practice every day, doesn't miss summer conditioning (110 deg heat), and he works his butt off to be there.
He plays DT, and on Special Teams when he gets a chance to get in a game. The crowd loves it when he goes in. He will be a senior this season, and will have to move up to the varsity team. I hope he gets a chance to play in a few games.
People can learn alot from these kids, their determination and tenacity are unmatched.
