Good for Nancy for not wanting to be a defense attorney for someone like Scott Peterson. She's not the type to be a LIAR-FOR-HIRE.
Simply not true.
What leads you to say that?
That's possible, but----- friend---- there's something special about Nancy.
Yeah. When the Mrs has that look I know my goose is cooked..
She comes on opposite O'Reilly here and I find myself watching her. I used to watch her when she was a litigator and thought she was a tough cookie. I'm a lawyer myself and never saw a female courtroom attorney like that.
She's pro-victim and can really give some of these defense lawyers a hard time. I don't know what her politics are, but she hardly seems like a dark blue lib to me. Someone sent her a prayer shawl and she mentioned that she was a preacher's daughter and appreciated the shawl. Perhaps she still goes to church. Don't know, don't care. Like her show.
Fieger has just cracked me up w/his take on Geragos/Peterson/Jackson.
I didn't hear her say that, but I've noticed that sometimes ED seems to take the opposite point of view, and I've wondered in the past if she's trying to balance the program. I like it when "Kieran" is on. (Forgive the spelling)
When MJ showed up in his pj's, Nancy mentioned the following Monday, she trucked through 3 feet of snow to get to church and Nancy was coming down w/a bad cold.
Nancy kept working and doing all her shows/commitments w/a bad cold and she could hardly talk!
I told hubby, "That lady sure is dedicated."
How was she so different from other women attorneys?
"VIEW / Guilty or not, here she comes Nancy Grace brings mob justice to CNN " http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/05/20/GRACE.TMP
"if one looks at every page of every transcript since Nancy Grace debuted three months ago, the program more closely resembles a torch-bearing mob than the legal issues show that CNN promised. Grace has created her own parallel universe in which guests are berated for advocating due process, panelists are invited back frequently if they make ad hominem attacks and suspects are seemingly guilty until proven innocent. "

"Nancy Grace was called a whore this past week and it seems people agree. It also seems people are getting pretty sick of Nancy Grace and her big mouth. Check out the latest comments on the fratpack.com message boards. " http://www.s5000.com/what_the_huck/810/ask_huck.php
"The big difference is Grace's rants turn the simplest principles of our judicial system upside down while the caustic OReilly (love him or hate him) always stays within a fair and accurate framework. It cant be long before Nancy Graces decision to choose heroes and villains before the story has unfolded ends badly and she will once again be on the outside looking in."

That's ridiculous. Nancy says what many of us are thinking about the criminal justice system, and she CARES about the victim. She also has COMMON SENSE.
These people are probably jealous of Nancy's success or they're ACLU types who cry for criminal defendants. (She might end up beating O'Reilly.)
My father is a litigator. I grew up with, "Women can't be litigators. You can be a lawyer, but not a litigator. Women don't have the fight."
Most of the women attorneys I knew did transaction work, a few that did trial work just weren't as feisty as Nancy. This is just my personal experience. Obviously there are aggressive women litigators, Nancy is just one. My own work was mostly corporate, before masters and judges in small venues with technical issues, not big jury trials. So again, this is my personal experience. The women attorneys I met were certainly hardworking, but the type of law we practiced just doesn't lend itself to the personal style of a Nancy Grace.
Yep. That would explain those articles.....the ones I won't waste my time reading that tripe.
I agree. Nancy Grace has several quests returning to her show with whom she disagrees. But possibly the ACLU and many trial lawyers are panicking since her book suggests changes.
If I was sitting on the jury and Nancy was arguing in front of me, I would listen to what she had to say!
