4:00 pm
Our "Let Arnold Speak; Let the PEOPLE Vote!" rally begins.
near 16th & Pico
4:30 pm
SMC College Republicans hold press conference, do interviews.
at the ticket gate on 16th, just SOUTH of Pico
5:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Familes and friends of SMC graduates are all safely inside Corsair Studium.
5:30 pm to 6:00 pm
"anti-Arnold" rally begins -- on the OTHER SIDE of campus -- far, FAR away.
20th and Pico
7:00 pm
Arnold arrives, and gives commencement address.
We expect that his security detail will get the Governor safely in and out of the facility -- without EITHER side seeing him.
7:00 pm to 7:30 pm
A handful of leftist SMC faculty radicals demonstrate their tolerance for intellectual diversity.
Current plans are for them to stamp their little feet, hold their breath until their faces turn blue, and then go pout in the corner.
Arnold's response to this childish behavior should be instructive. :o)
7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
post-event "food and fellowship" - with a visit from Arnold?
We plan to meet at a secure PRIVATE location, to be disclosed at our rally.
8:30 pm
"anti-Arnold" mob attempts to harass families leaving the stadium.
(WE will already be gone by then, but the POLICE will be out in force to maintain order, and protect the graduates and their families.)
Just runnin it up the ole flagpole..
No, he can't do that for the same reasons Gov. Granholm can't. You can't be foreign born and in line to become President.
and if the rules change, that would only favor the Dems, because Granholm is the Dems golden girl after Hillary....
Thanks RonDog!!!
You go, RonDog. This is awesome. I love when Arnold comes to New York. Boring old Republican politics gets a nice jolt.
Constitution says Pres. and Vice-Pres must be natives. Even if something happened to a Pres. and VP and a non-native was "in line," the rotation would jump over them to a native born American.
HOORAY!!!!
Count me in!
Just wondering what his democrat wife thinks of all this bad behavior coming from her beloved politicial party?
It's been music to my ears to hear the Rat women's lamentation; Pelosi, Hillary, Dean and Kerry.
Is she still a demonrat?
...as the Governor is a busy man......and he DOES have legitimate security concerns.
Still, the L.A. Chapter does have a considerable TRACK RECORD......when it comes to insuring SECURE, PRIVATE arrangements for meeting -- "in person" -- with OTHER busy people with security concerns...
...like Ann Coulter. :o)You can check out THAT post-FReep thread here:

Protesters lining up along Pico will be able to hear rally speakers...Fortunately, however, the GRADUATES (and their FAMILIES) will NOT be able to hear them.
Good luck to you all in the LA chapter. Just be careful!
Sorry I can't be there Ron .. you guys have all the fun!! And I hope you get lots of great pictures - especially if the Arnold should show up.
8:30 pmfrom www.valleyfordemocracy.com:
"anti-Arnold" mob attempts to harass families leaving the stadium.
"...We need people to protest until 8:30 pm to catch attendees leaving the event."What kind of a warped plan is THIS?
Those "attendees" that they plan to harass are friends and family of SMC graduates...They are there for a "once in a lifetime" CELEBRATION of a significant personal achievement in the life of a loved one....who are NOT there to support Arnold.
(He was only announced a few weeks ago!)
SHAME ON YOU, you "union thugs!"
Sorry I can't be there Ron .. you guys have all the fun!!We do live in a "target rich" environment. :o)
But, we ARE ready for a "road trip" to San Diego -- any time you give the word. ;)
I was only wondering whether he could get the job the way Gerald Ford did. Not through an election, but by appointment. I mean Bill Clinton could still theoretically be a president this way so would it be possible for Arnold?
I'll keep that in mind. I'm trying to coordinate with Protest Warriors in case they have anything going on 9/24, to protest the ANSWER crowd here in San Diego. Don't have any details yet but I'll let you know.
O.K., so walk me though this me again.Protest Gov. Schwarzenegger

"A.N.S.W.E.R." = "Act Now to Stop War and End Racism," right? So, why is an "anti-WAR" group protesting a STATE Governor?
Don't they teach Civics in high school anymore? The GOVERNOR of a STATE cannot declare war...
...that is a FEDERAL power, right?
...Let's be out in force to show that we remain united in our opposition to the Governor's cuts to education.Well, perhaps they should not imply that there will be "cuts" to ALL education funding.

College Students Don't Want Governor To Speak At Graduation Faculty Also Wants Invite Rescinded
POSTED: 3:56 pm PDT June 6, 2005
UPDATED: 5:55 pm PDT June 6, 2005
SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Students and faculty from Santa Monica College plan to ask its Board of Trustees Monday night to rescind an invitation to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to speak at commencement because of his budget policies. The group plans to use the meeting's public comment period to call for the trustees to take back the invitation, the group's Dan Braun said.
The plea is likely to be merely symbolic because the matter isn't on the meeting's agenda. Under state law, the trustees can't vote on matters not on the agenda. The board isn't scheduled to meet again until after the June 14 commencement, according to Bruce Smith, the public information officer of the Santa Monica Community College District.
The group wants a "champion of community colleges" to speak instead of Schwarzenegger, Santa Monica College history professor Kenneth Mason said. It claims that policies backed by Schwarzenegger, a Santa Monica College graduate, have made community college education "much less accessible," Mason said.
Schwarzenegger's proposed state budget calls for an additional $10 million for community colleges for the current fiscal year.
H.D. Palmer, deputy director of the state Department of Finance, said the governor's proposed 2005-2006 budget provides $436 milliion more for community colleges than the current year. He also noted that student fees will not increase, and they are among the lowest fees of any state in the nation.
