The comments on this thread are fantastic. MUCH better than listening to Plugs Bidet or Leaky Leahy. Or Bonny Fwank.

I would like to see President Bush give a nationwide speech, updating the War on Terror, its goals, the Iraq front, what lies ahead, our detention policy.
He does that .. he has been giving speeches about the WOT and different issues during the week .. for the last several weeks .. FNC has aired them"

It's interesting -I don't know whether the person who is frustrated with the President is a liberal or not. I'm certainly not but I am frustrated. What I find interesting is that I have not have time to be on this site lately. I also don't have much access to Fox (not cable here and I'm off the treadmill for a while, which gave me access to Brit Hume). So, my news has been mostly radio. So, I will make it my diligent duty to reconsider my recently formed views about Pres. Bush -as a Pres. I really love the man. Thanks for showing the other side.

To all who say Tony Blair is eloquent, Bush is not, read this - While other world leaders stumble, Bush gains clout in World stage

Before Rush, the Internet, and Fox news, the message from the right was practically never heard. now that the conservative message is finally being heard the electorate is generally moving to the right which I feel bides well for the future

The only ones that do are those that who wish it to be true and do not, as the rest of us do, listen to what the president actually says and does. Some people cannot decide for themselves but depend on others to tell them what to think. It is a decidedly left wing trait.

The MSM used to be able to control public opinion. Those days are over. We have too many sources of information and can catch the Rathers, Jennings, Jason Blairs, etc., in their lies and blatant political agenda.

Listening to Duncan Hunter reciting the menu at Gitmo, sounds like top cuisine at a Hyatt hotel!

We DON'T forget.

On Saturday morning, I usually meet a buddy for coffee, and this week we brought his son, who is just out of college, and a member of the "digital generation." Like so many young members of his generation, computers are similar to the TVs of my generation--or the radios of my dad's generation.

I asked him what he thought the "future" sources of information would look like. The first thing he said was that the printed newspaper would go the way of the dinosaurs. Everyone would INSTANTLY have access to EVERYTHING a "public figure" ever said or did. Gone are the days when "public figures" such as Senator Depends, can hide behind the fallacy that no one will remember what they said or did in the past.

The prisoners there are NOT covered by the Geneva Convention. Treating them as such or as criminals in the courts will be disastrous.

If they want to shut down Gitmo, then the only logical option is summarily execute all captives on the battlefield. You cant send them home to fight again. Cant even just slice off their trigger fingers prior to release because they will just strap on a bomb and blow themselves and anyone near them up.

Keep the top level captives on ships at sea and execute the remainder.

a cold Iron city

When I was going to school in DC in the early '70s and low on funds, 4.00 could get you a case of Iron City.

When someone begins spreading doom and gloom right out of the gate as a poster, red flags go up. Plus you swallow all the lib media has to say and accept it as gospel, another red flag. Lastly your plaintive wail of "Why can't we have an honest discussion...", sounds suspiciously like "Why can't we all just get along"

I am a 10 year veteran of discussion forums and I know a lib when I see, or rather read one's words.
