Per Fox News...
Have you ever been to Mt. Brook? It's a well-to-do area of Birmingham. They even have paved roads.
Was this post really meant for me?
Aruba, so heavily dependent on tourism, the authorities probably conducted one hell of an interrogation on those suspects.
p.s. you don't spend every waking moment as if you are about to be a victim of a crime -- that's bordering on insane. But you do have a built in survival mechanism that becomes as natural as breathing.
Are some of the people posting on this thread really FReepers or DU plants? :-)
Every guy knows of friends who devoted themselves to shagging every girl they could. Looks like the seduction went wrong, got rough, and turned to murder.
But all the facts to support that conclusion are not yet in. She may have died of natural causes due to alcohol poisoning, passing out and choking on her vomit, heart failure, accidental asphixiation during rough sex, etc.
It seems likely to be either manslaughter or second degree murder, not premeditated murder.
Never been to Spain,... but I've been to Oklahoma.
(I was born and raised there.)
Sorry...I did say I was bringing my daughter up to save herself, but neglected to say that when my son gets a little older (he's only 5) I will be teaching him the same lessons!
And you say this without knowing if she was roofied or anything else. Actually, you are saying a lot of things about her without knowing anything.
What about the music and the ladies?
True enough.
I wonder if those same people follow their own advice all of the time? If so, they must be some fun to hang out with.
She might have died from the Shocker.
Unfortunately, this is the time of year that High School Seniors all across the country die from celebratory excess.
That's true of some people. Especially those living in high crime areas or large cities. People who grow up in safe areas don't have that built in. It comes with experience. That's the old Catch-22. You can't get experience unless you go out in the world. But, by going out in the world you expose yourself to it.
Dunno.
I am a lady and can't remember all the lyrics to that Elvis song. LOL!
No. I don't think so. I think they are people who can't empathize or understand another's frailties or accept the fact that some people are raised to trust and believe in their fellow man - not fear him.
In Oklahoma?..not California?....what does it maaaattter...
Then there are the ones
that die @ college during
hazing to join a fraternity.
Fraternities can be a hazard
to one's life.
I live in NYC -- and to quote David Byrne, "...lived in a brownstone, lived in a ghetto. Lived all over this town."
Even when I lived or worked in some of the worst parts of NYC, I rarely had any problems. Mostly because I kept safe.
I believe kids can be taught basic survival skills, even if they live in "safe" neighborhoods. The problem is, most parents don't want to take the time or energy involved. Or, they want to spare their kids and themselves from thinking about unpleasant things..
