Per Fox News...
My daughter went on two school sponsored trips - followed the rules and was fine. She has just finished her Freshman year of college, attended many parties and was extremely careful to keep her eyes open and keep friends close - She said she was amazed that some girls were not cautious at all.....
I'm not too sure that the upstanding citizens that did this were too keen on listening to what their parents tried to teach them.
yeah, well generally at that age, you tend to do some stupid things from time to time...
glad to hear your daughter isnt like that though....
Hit the button thinking I'd finished, but...
If they had found the body and there was no blood, there would still be DNA in the bone marrow, and in the skin. I don't think they have the body.
I suspect that the reason they sent it to the US--linking this to my last post--we probably have more capability than anything they have in Aruba. It may be that they have to send anything, whether it's carseat stain, Natalee's mom's DNA, or body, to the US, because they don't have the labs.
By the way, I have a "little" PRE-pharmgirl working her tail off in school right now...... someday I can ask her these questions....lol
He was at first. Small town politics being what they are, if the police run into a connection with the local power structure, among other leads to a crime, every other lead will be fully pursued first.
The two laid-off security guards turned out to be a dead end, and the enormous pressure to get somewhere finally pushed the police into looking hard at the last three who were independantly verified to have seen her alive. Without that political angle, no police department would have moved the main investigation past these three guys until they were completely eliminated.
Now, of course, the Aruba government understands that they are fighting to preserve the economic viability of the resort. Every day this goes unresolved is another day of the worst kind of (world-wide) publicity.
The business interests that contribute to the politicians must be beside themselves at the way this has unfolded; and have certainly let their feelings be known. And I doubt that there is a single member of the police department who does not have a relative or family member directly employed by the tourist industry. I expect even the drug smugglers are pressuring the APD to quit fooling around and solve this.
The Dutch kid's family is still behind him, no doubt, but I would guess everyone else on the island will happily throw him under the bus if he turns out to be guilty. They all see clearly now that the crime must be solved for this to stop. The guilty must be named. Above all, the body must be found: Natalie's remains will be taken back to the US, and the bulk of the media attention will follow, to report on the funeral and burial, etc. With the conviction and sentencing of the guilty and the burial of Natalie, it will be done; the world's attention will go elsewhere and Aruba can get back to normal.
But, much like the Lacy Peterson investigation, as long as she is still missing, and her fate is unknown, it will continue to be a Story, and Aruba will continue to suffer...
My daughter must have inherited some common sense genes from her father - I was stupid at her age...... ;^)
My guess is that there was no blood found in the car and this is more disinformation for whatever reason.
LOL
which is why I REALLY hope my kids dont act like their daddy when they are between 16 and 22 LOL
And I suppose you're the perfect parent? Never had one of your children lie to you, or steal a piece of candy? Never had one get in trouble with the law over speeding?
My children were taken by their father 3 1/2 years ago...He went into hiding and I had no idea if my babies were alive or not! We have good reason to practice what you do if somebody tries to take you!
No parent is perfect. I have every right to contribute to this thread as anybody else! If you don't like it, too bad!
Well, in my own defense, the legal drinking age was 18 at that time...... I had already killed off many brain cells by the time I was 19........
hehe well...hmmmm...LOL
no brain no pain for me :)
You know, at least trussell admits she was a teenager. Some on FR went from being 8 years old to 50 within a span of about 3 years. It is really annoying.
And honestly, anyone passing judgement on anyone else's skills as a parent WITHOUT knowing of anything wrong or misadjusted about the kid is just blowing smoke up our @$$e$
Do as I say, not as I do.................;^)
LOL
or as I did.....
not that kids will listen, I never did....
We have spent alot of time diving on Bonaire for the last 18 years and lately we noted the increase in crime. At our last trip, two years ago, the murder was mentioned but nobody would tell us anything. We always stayed at the same place, Sanddollar, then it went bad and we just hate to go back. We loved those people and I remember how they were mentioning the drugs and how they werre trying to keep them off the island. Good memories there and never a bad experience.
Mark for later

Could they perhaps already have some of Natalee's DNA?
Couldn't they get it from her hairbrush or toothbrush?
