If the Dems were embarrassing themselves, the microphone would have been left on, no?

Nice to see the Republicans not putting up with the Rats bad behavior. There is such a thing as being too nice.

Yeah. "In America, those fools let the Amnesty International lawyers speak. Back home, we simply stand them up against the nearest wall and shoot them. Oh, those stupid decadent infidel Americans!"

Let's not be naive here.... Unless we understand our enemy, something the democrats obviously fail to do, we will not defeat them. I suggest going to the savage nation http://www.homestead.com/prosites-prs/ site and view the tortures and beheadings of innocent people by the kind of scumbags now in Guantanamo...it is gut wrenching but after you've watched you realize what with whom we are dealing.

I bet this is picked up on by Brit Hume tonight. While we still have the Patriot Act, let's send some of these seditious traitors down to Gitmo for a while, and get some meaningful legislation passed while they're gone.

Senate Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, in a statement, said the hearing was an example of Republican abuse of power and she would ask House Speaker Dennis Hastert to order an apology from Sensenbrenner

Its the dems that should apologize for being born. But these Republican chairmen need to get control of the proceedings and the agenda.

This is an indicator of why Zogby polls cannot be trusted.

Democrats asked for the hearing, the 11th the committee has held on the act since April, saying past hearings had been too slanted toward witnesses who supported the law. The four witnesses were from groups, including Amnesty International USA and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, that have questioned the constitutionality of some aspects of the act, which allows law enforcement greater authority to investigate suspected terrorists.

That's about all I need to know. Sensenbrenner gave them two hours to vent their spleen & apparently decided he had better things to do on a Friday afternoon. Can't argue with his decision.

"Senate Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, in a statement, said the hearing was an example of Republican abuse of power and she would ask House Speaker Dennis Hastert to order an apology from Sensenbrenner." More proof that the democraps have a trash Bush and the USA at every turn agenda ... these democrat bastards don't give a damn about the Patriot Act, but they sure love to trash this nation and this President. Reminds me of children throwing fits, if they can't have their way, they spit on anyone within range. Nadler and Pelosi are prime examples.

Amnesty International USA and the American Immigration Lawyers Association

You gotta be kidding... I'm not for some of the provisions in the act, I would have walked also.

Those Dems have no idea how to fight a war -- readily inviting a Trojan horse into their own home and coddling it.

I don't hear any Muslims in the U.S. standing up and saying, "We love America. Here, these are the bad guys and we are not like them". No, they just cry "Unfair, unfair".

We give away education through high school for free to all visitors and illegals in this country. They flock to take advantage of our schools. We are more than generous to all. Yet, the Dems aren't satisfied and want to give them our military as well. Protecting them and not us.

Why a congressional committee in a Republican controlled House would give any airtime to a partisan stridently anti-American pro-terrorist group like Amnesty is beyond me. Why don't they just invite Bin Laden to come and testify against the Patriot Act as long as Amnesty is doing it too?

I am no genius but by reading this one cannot help assuming Amnesty Int'l, the Dems and John Zogby are fighting to make it harder to question terrorists. On the other hand James Sensenbrenner and Mike Pence are on the right (no pun intended) side of the argument.

Democrats are just praying, I mean hoping, for another attack on Bushs watch. That's why they will stop at nothing to undermine our security. Because every terrorist cell or suspect that is rounded up in this country, is one less voter and/or contributor to the democrat party.

Typical slanted reporting...

11 Paragaphs in the story

8 devoted to Democrat talking points, quotes or blaming Republicans
2 devoted to Republican quotes
1 neutral reporting
