Sadly, I must concur. It's a comin'. Fortunately, I believe that President Bush's doctrine of preemption (which can date back to the Monroe doctrine), combined with his association of countries which harbor terrorists with terrorists/terrorism themselves, will minimize whatever confrontation we're faced with on our own soil.

At this point, most nations have fought this evil at one time or another.

Some fought and are lost...(Byzantium, North Africa, Asia, parts of Europe), some fought and won Russia, Poland, who else?), some fought, lost and then won again (Greece, Spain, most of the Balkans, who else?).

The US will be involved in this insanity for awhile.
